Viewing Function Code
Hi All,
I'd like to see the function code behind the barplots2() function in the
gplots package, however i come across a bit of a stumbling block of a hidden
function, can anyone help?

RFC: Consider changing the semantics of 'fast' flag implying all fast-math-flags
Hi,
Thanks for the quick feedback. I see your points, but I have a few questions/comments. I'll start at the end of the previous post:

RFC: Consider changing the semantics of 'fast' flag implying all fast-math-flags
I don’t really like the idea of updating checks of UnsafeAlgebra() to depend on all of the other flags. It seems like it would be preferable to look at each optimization and figure out which flags it actually requires. I suspect that in many cases the “new” flag (i.e. allowing reassociation, etc.) will be what is actually needed anyway.
I would be inclined to agree with Niolai’s suggestion of

Tabulation of aggregated data.frame
Hi useRs!
I would like to know how to make aggregated data.frame with
aggregate() tabulated.
For example, I run the following command to aggregate re with respect
to group1 and group2.
> (aggr <- with(final, aggregate(re, group1, group2, mean)))
Group.1 Group.2 x
1 1992 15 0.16392
2 1993 15 0.15467
3 1994 15 0.15456

R: one bananna aov() question
Hello world,
I'm trying to do an
anova on data in data.set, dependent variable is a column
named "dep.var", grouping variable is in a column called "indep.var", and
is.factor(indep.var) is TRUE...
why can't I just do aov(dep.var ~ indep.var, data = data.set)?
What have I done to deserve this?! What gives? Am I missing something
totlly obvious?

vnic on top of aggr of 2 x 1 Gbit/s NICs
Hi,
Can you tell why my vnic built on top of an aggregation of 2 NICs of 1 Gbit/s doesn''t report a speed of 2 GBit/s ?

On the plus side, I'm glad to see the conclusions of the last couple of posts.

property parsing in dladm
I decided to take a stab at
6601421 dladm set-linkprop should support multiple -p options
along with some related linkprop fixes, but when I looked into
dladm.c, was surprised to find that "dladm_parse_props()" is called
from do_create_aggr and do_create_vlan in addition to the
expected (by me, at least) do_create_vnic *linkprop functions.
What happened here? Why do we pass in

Duplicate packets when using aggregate datalinks on bge
I opened a bug report earlier today but it doesn''t seem to have been
added to the bugs database. I''m posting here in case one of the
Crossbow developers might see it and confirm this behavior.
Description
Duplicate packets are generated whenever an aggregate is introduced
into the network configuration. We''ve ruled out switch ports and
physical bge interfaces as

extract certain months toyears (zoo)
Dear useRs and developeRs,
In my diploma thesis I work with a daily time series of glacier runoff
data.
I did already aggregate them to monthly means etc.
Now i want to use just the summer values (I am indecisive by now what
that means, but let's make it easy and use months like June).
Is there a way to extract the data off this zoo into another zoo with
frequency=1 ?
Do you have

problem with 'which' and strings
I have written a function that goes through a database and calculates various
metric scores and allocates them to a data set. For 400 of the 500 sites
that I calculate these metrics for works fine and allocates the scores into
the appropriate column. For some reason, some sites I run into the below
problem:

missing value where TRUE/FALSE needed
Merry Xmas to all,
I am writing a function and curiously this runs sometimes on one data set
and fails on another and i cannot figure out why.
Any help much appreciated.
If i run the code below with
data <- iris[ ,1:4]
The code runs fine, but if i run on a large dataset i get the following
error (showing data structures as matrix is large)
