Child Domains
Hello good night everyone, I can do in samba domain children, that is, I
have a domain global.corp and in each branch I have a city.global.corp and
in each city have trust between the child domains?
Is this a good practice?

About samba 3
Hi,
I work at a university as network administrator. I have to migrate my wins
from a windows machine to a linux one using samba. I'd like to use the new
samba's features, but I wouldn't like to use an unstable version in such a
big network as I have. So, how long will it take samba team to release a
stable version?
Sincerely yours

Child Domains
Hello,
I think you got lots of answers w.r.t. feasibility, but none w.r.t. desirability ("Is this a good practice") ?
I?d not do it. Your organization might relocate, or employees might switch locations. This can add a lot of unnecessary confusion for others.
What prevents you from having a single domain? Or at least structuring on a criteria that is more relevant in the long run?

question about tool collisions
Recently I got introduced to two packages: {seewave} and {audio} .
Turns out they both have a tool to call a system audio tool, and in both
cases the name of the tool is play(). Naturally these two tools do
slightly different things with different arguments.
So, what should a user do, and more to the point, what should R do? If

samples to dataframes
Hello all,
I'll bet this is not complicated, but I really did hunt for information
on it, and tried some ideas without success.
Running Windows XP and R 2.3.1
I am using the Sound package to read in .wav files, and this works fine.
The R object produced is of class "sample". I want to use some of the
functions in the package Seewave to do further analysis, but this

melting columns
Hello,
I'm using R to run a acoustic analysis software called Seewave. I ask the code to extract a list of variables from my recording, and the program give ONE table for each of these. The tables consist of a two column data.frame with the time in column 1 and the frequency in column 2. However, for my purpose I need only one column with the time first and the frequency second. I tried

library installation problem, invalid regular expression in help indices
Hi,
I have a strange package installation problem after update to R 2.11.0
on Fedora Core 12.
A colleague of mine with the very same Fedora and R versions doesn't
have this problem, while logging on to his computer but installing from
my settings and into my local library path also shows the problem, so it
seems to be related to some of my environment settings.
Installation of several

asterisk T100P to Merlin Legend
Management just approved purchase of a Digium T100P and a T1 card for
our Merlin Legend Switch. I will appreciate comments from anyone
performing this installation before:
- Which T1 card did you use in the Merlin Legend?
- Did you require any special interface? (CSU/DSU, etc)
- Any items to watch during installation.
Also we will need to remove one of our old analog Trunk cards to

Groups not updating on 3.5.10 (centos) or 3.6.12 (enterprise samba)
Hello everybody,
we're trying to set-up Samba to share directories with Win users from
some Linux servers.
We've set up kerberos, gotten a ticket, joined the server to the domain,
we get correct users/groups from "wbinfo" and "getent".
The problem lies in "id": it does not update its user<->group mappings
when they change on AD, even if
