Hi list! I would like to modernize my server at home which is still running Shorewall 3. The server will be running CentOS 6.2 but i also want to use KVM virtualization to run a Windows host on the same box that i can log in to remotely. I looked through the documentation samples on the shorewall site and found several bridging configurations but they do not match my setup, yes it will involve some bridging but not in the same way as a classic bridgge. The setup without shorewall looks like this : eth1 Internet connection to my isp eth0 Physical connection to hosts on local lan but without ip address br0 The interface for virtual bridge with ip so the linux server can talk to hosts on the local lan virbr0 Virtual bridge for KVM guests without fixed ip addres (which i do not intend to use for now) vnet0 The network interface of virtguest1, no visible ip address from linux side, fixed ip address on the virtual host side vnet1 same as vnet0 but different virtual guest vnet2 same as vnet0 but different virtual guest I would like to do port forwarding from internet to some virtual hosts so i can for example have one dedicated web "server", one windows box i can do remote desktop to etc. etc. (i guess that i should just forward the port to the ip address i appointed to the host). Virtual hosts and local lan should all be in the same network/range to keep it simple. Is there anybody that did a similar setup and would be willing to share a sample configuration ?
