Doh ! I have replyed only to Patrice and forgotten to select "all" to include this list ! Sorry ! I send it again, but for the list only now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Patrice, Hi the list ! Yes ! I want a copy for my friends who are not able to ready any english pages. So, please, dear Patrice, could you send me a copy or a pointer to your pages ? I want to distrib immediatly this information to my french speaking friends. For information : The french radioamateurs (I am one of them) are starting their "private" WLAN for exclusive radioamateurs use. One of the interesting projects is to build a lot of wormhole access points, and to connect all of them through VPN through Internet to a private LAN probably in University with big pipes. All the radioamateurs traffic will pass through this VPN to this LAN and agian to one other VPN to connect radioamateurs together. One gateway will be disposed to connect the other similar foreign radioamateurs'' LANs. Do you know that the radioamateurs own a complete class A public IP addresses ? 44.0.0.0/8 For France, we have the 44.151.0.0/16. The routers will be the Bering distro with Shorewall (I am working for that from few monthes). I suppose than this will be the biggest quantity of Bering/Shorewall routers on the same private network ! Imagine the final quantity of "Radioamateurs Hotspots" to connect all the french cities... Not all will be connected, of course, but probably many which have a radioamateur checking wireless and connected to Internet with ADSL. I will probably ask some questions later to the two main lists if some diffilcuties will appear. Thanks for this developments, thanks to Tom Esastep and Jacques Nilo, and to all of those who have worked very hard to realize our dreams. Long life to Bering and Shorewall ! And Happy New Year for all readers.
