New to list, going through steep learning curve with *, could someone assist with how to install zttool with slackware10, the normal make zttool fails, assume I am missing a dependency? (newt and newt-devel?) Trying to test Q.031 pri span with TE405p card, Google has little clue on Zttool and the * manual has a heading, but no entry? Thanks Magnus

It appears that zttool doesn't actually report T1 span errors. If I inject BPV's, crc errors, framing errors, etc into a T1 span, the counters on zttool don't change.

I have a TDM800 that is installed and working. (TDM800 + 2 X QUAD FXO). Zttool says it is configured, ok, and there are no issues. Ztcfg -vvv shows that all the channels are configured. Zap show channels in the CLI show all 8 channels configured as they are supposed to be. When I plug in a pots line from the telco and make a call to that line, asterisk does not respond....

To recap: T100P card wouldn't sync with the telco using line side clocking ( span=1,1,0.........) Had to use internal clocking (span=1,0,0.......) zttool showed Tx/Rx Levels as 0/ 1 For the grins of it I replaced the T100P card with another newer card from inventory. This newer card has the same rev on the ASIC / FPGA but doesn't have any of the various jumper headers installed on the board. Set clocking to line side sync=1,1,0...... Poof...

...have followed the instructions in the Wiki and searched the mailing lists, but so far havent got any success. Cable is connected to the first span, and module is loaded. Without loading the module the LED glows in red colour, but the moment we load module, it goes off. (No red or green) . We ran zttool and tried to run a loop test, but zttool simply hung with the message 'Looping UP Span 1...'. We had to terminate zttool with 'kill'. Here is the output of the lsmod command. In my * server I have a T100P, connected with a T1 crossover cable to an Adtran TA750 with 2 FXO cards. After I do 'modprobe wct1xxp;ztcfg' the alarm on the card starts blinking red. Running zttool confirmed that yes, it is a red alarm. I've read a few previous posts on this type of setup and I'm not too much closer. What should I be checking next? A different cable?
