Hello, I'm working on an Opus encoder block for GNUradio (a signal processing toolkit). I was wondering if there's some formula/heuristic for estimating the packet size average case / worst case given a certain encoder setting (assuming VBR). I need to provided a reasonable estimate to the GNUradio memory allocator. --Albin

Looking at the Opus comparison page[1], I can't figure out whether the Opus/AAC/Vorbis/MP3 lines are meant to imply a mono or stereo encoding. Could someone please update the caption to clarify this? Yup, into win32\VS2010 and VS2015. I usually copy whatever old project files exist and try opening them with the new VSxxxx edition. If an upgrade is needed, I carry it out on the copied project files, leaving the originals intact. Then proceed with testing all the configurations and fixing any build issues. Hey Kevin! Once you start dropping under (I think) 32kbps, the codec naturally starts losing stereo separation for the benefit of quality. If you really want perfect stereo at 16kbps CBR (this is horrifically low in my opinion) you might be better off splitting the audio and encoding each part at 8kbps CBR.
