Arrggg Samba is not behaving
...g the wiring of my network, checking intensity of the network cables (yes even brought a technician to assist me with that because I had no idea how to check that), connected Srv with Win2000 via a cross-over cable (just in case the switcher was malfunctioning) and tons of other scenarios. Nothing! Zilch! Unfortunately I am faced with a very serious problem since this occurs every week (sometimes more than 3 times a day!!!). Looked in google for this. Another person who had the same problem had a solution published with op_locks etc, tried that...nothing! Can someone give me a good idea?? Thank...

Dahdi Init script for Suse?
...S 10 box that'll work right? The one included by default only deals with debian and redhat, and the changes between the old zaptel script I have that works are far too invasive. Notably in the use of this "action" command that's probably redhat specific. There's practically zilch on google on the matter. I think suse support should be included by default, though. I can find the relationship between x and y by fit<-lm(y~x) coef(fit) tells me the line that best fits x vs y (as shown in the plot of the 6 values of x vs the mean values of y at those values). ****Question: Suppose that the system is nonlinear s...

IAX2 DTMF not recognized - Bug report - Help sought
I have working SIP numbers with broadvoice, and just added a DID from http://connect.voicepulse.com/ . The calls answer, but DTMF is not recognized. With "iax2 debug" active pressing DTMF does nothing. Zilch. Zero. A friend tried a different IAX2 connection, and got the same results. systemd: Failed unmounting /var on reboot, should I worry about fs corruption?
..., the developer says the issue is hard to solve and just cosmetic since /var gets unmounted in the end anyway, which is strange because there is a log line about unmounting just about every other mountpoint and in the end of the journal, there are about 7 log lines about unmounting swap volume, but zilch about /var. If the system is getting down without proper unmount, data corruption can happen. I would feel much better if there were no such errors... Talking to Java APIs
I''m trying to figure out how Ruby in general, and/or anything extra Rails may have, can talk to Java APIs of third party server apps. After quite a few search attempts net-wide and on ruby forums, and with "Programming Ruby" in hand, I''m coming up with zilch. Either I''m not finding it, or I''m not recognizing it. I''m assuming there has to be a Ruby API that allows someone to write some Java, wrap it, and have Ruby send params and recieve some results via that wrapped up Java chunk? Any clues to point me in the right di...

...groups to xidNumbers in the '3000000' range, the only way to change these numbers on a DC, is to give your users & groups uidNumber & gidNumber attributes. I repeat, adding the 'idmap config' lines that are used on a domain member, to a DC, will not work. They do nothing, zilch, they are ignored, so do not add them. The 'Unix Attributes' tab uses the 'uidNumber' and 'gidNumber' attributes and these override the 'xidNumber' attributes that the DC uses by default. Rowland

On 10/04/2017 01:40 PM, James Hogarth wrote: > Nope. And find /etc/systemd -name network gives zilch. Yes, systemd-networkd does store its configuration in /etc/systemd/network, but the directory isn't created by the RPM; you need to create it yourself. As noted, systemd-networkd is in the RHEL extras (or somesuch) repo, so it isn't supported by Red Hat on RHEL. It's basically just...

No Localisation for rsync?
Hi Folks, There are no Localisation features incorporated in the rsync code, from what I can see, and hence no Language Translation files. I see pertinent strings, in the "main.c" (output_summary function) and "flist.c" files, which are used by the rprintf function. I could use xgettext with "rprintf" as the function search parameter to produce a .pot file. Are

H3500CW recommendation
Has anyone on the list actually purchased any H3500CW from http://lktelecom.zoovy.com? I need to purchase quite a few phones and I was looking to get the H3500CW but it appears they are in China so I was wondering 1.) if they are a reputable company (before I put the $ out) 2.) about how long it took for shipping because I need these phones pretty quickly. Thanks all AJ

German SIP and/or IAX providers?
...d I'm very interested in a VoIP provider over thataway. However, I'd need a few things: - Reliability. Can't have my branch office's DID's just going down. A company with a proven track record would be very, very good. - English. I speak great English, decent Spanish... and zilch German. So, as provincial as it might make me, I need a company I could talk to if the chips are down. And that's about -it-. I'm even willing to pay a reasonable premium, so long as it gets me a VoIP provider with the above restrictions. Any suggestions? Thanks much! -Ken
