Just updated from CVS 12-23-03 to tarbal 0.7.1. Identical settings in zconfig.h for echo cancellation (MARK2, aggressive OFF). The echo got worse, much worse. Hi everybody, Every time callers reach my FXO port, asterisk produces one ring tone just before it executes Answer(). How to remove this? Over the last couple weeks I've tried everything I could get my hands on in an attempt to get rid of my echo problems. Using a CVS checkout of just yesterday, I've tried every echo cancellation routine in zconfig.h (including Mark2 w/Aggressive) , as well as the echotraining=800 mentioned on this list just last week. Calling from ATA to ATA give a perfect sound. Calling to PSTN numbers or reverse side, give echo. Dearest List, I guess I missed this point: Is it true that if you change the echo canceler in zconfig.h, and then recompile/install your zap modules, that for this to be taken into effect by * you must then recompile/install *? Disabled echo canceller because of tone (tx) on channel 10 I understand that the PSTN companies use their own echo canceller's, send a tone across 2100hz, the problem we're having is people are complaining of echo on random calls. I'm assuming this may be the cause. Is their anyway to 'ignore' the disabling of EC? Or would be just be a manual code change.. Matt
