Hello. I've got a Samba server and I'd like it to be master browser and everything else except domain controller (the customers wants a workgroup, not a domain). Lately a Windows 2003 server was added to the net and then I guess it was removed. Hi everybody, does somebody know why when I install a samba 2.2.5 or 2.2.6, it doesn't put the file which contains the password samba, i.e. /etc/samba/smbpasswd . With the result that when I have just created a user linux and that I want to add it under samba "smbpasswd user" it lets me enter the password but failed when it wants to reach the base. ...Win98 It's impossible to read files, and open exixting folders, the error is: "the file (folder) don't exist". If I try to create one, It'isn't shown, there is an error, but if I go in machine with win2000 the folder(file) is there. How can I resolve this problem?
