Samba: 32 or 64 bit
All Due to an application issue I need to let app support know whether the version of Samba we are running is 32 or 64 bit. We are running Samba 2.2.8 on Solaris 8 (64 bit mode). Aplogies if this is really obvious but I have looked many places with no luck. It was installed from a file containing Solaris packages - samba-2.2.8-sol8-sparc-local.gz Screenshot of pkginfo:-

I've just spotted that isohybrid also helps towards the aim of a single image for CD and USB; however a dd-able image is not so easy to use if you don't want to overwrite existing data. So supporting additional locations and names would still be useful. Andrew Yeomans

Apropos the day...
Since today is American Thanksgiving, I want to thank: (a) R-core for all of their efforts to produce what is, IMHO, the best statistical software around, not simply for the convenience of doing more, better, quicker, but also because it changes the landscape in the way one thinks about data analysis. It's a fantastic playground for a statistician and I enjoy using it

Centos7 Annoyances
Folks I'm sure the Centos team has done a yeoman's job getting Centos7 ready, and that the Redhat team has done marvels in creating rhel7, but here's a little voice from a personal hobbyist user. Background: ('ve been maintaining several remote servers since Redhat 6 days, migrating from that to Whitebox, then Centos, and things have been running as expected including the

My network currently uses samba version 3.0.14 and doesn't seem to have any problems but alot of my logs repeat the following error message: [2005/08/09 09:29:42, 0] rpc_client/cli_trust.c:change_trust_account_password(248) 2005/08/09 09:29:42 : change_trust_account_password: Failed to change password for domain SPICE. Re: 2.4.20 htb3 oops
Hi everyone, I am having problems with "oopses" since I introduced HTB on my company''s PC-based routers. It seems that only routers with high network load are affected. The average network load on the two most problematic routers are 10Mbps in/out and 2.5Mbps in/out. The other machines with less than 1Mbps average traffic seems unaffected. We have been getting oopses on
