folder subscriptions
Hi,
I've got a lot of users using uw-imapd(yah, yah, I know)
I'd like to get them off of that and onto dovecot at some point in the
indeterminate future.
so excluding bizarre path resolution things that uw-imapd has left
around. is it more or less cp ~/mailboxlist ~/mail/subscriptions?
It looks like that - but I wanted to verify :)

mobile device access to this server to get email, not desktop as Outlook,
Thunderbird ...
Thanks for your advice.

startup script for icecast
Hello,
I was wondering about the feasibility of including a startup script for
icecast for redhat/fedora installs? I've had to do an rpm install on an fc4
box, and a source install, rpms couldn't be found for an rh9 machine, yah i
know that's old. And in both cases i had to drop in a custom-made startup
script, see below. I was wondering esepcially in the case of the rpm, and to
a lesser extent the source, if this could be included? I've had to change
the below paths for both source and rpm installs since they...

oh yah. psytune.c should now include "backends.h" at the beginning, and
there are two lines where the frameno --> granulepos name change was missed.
Similarly, it might be an idea to reinstate the 'selftest' target, even though
you normally wouldn't make it.

Ability to pass-through a PCI videocard & PCI USB card?
...eason being is I was hoping to setup a MythTV or a Windows Media
(under XP 32-bit) for testing under the Xen environment. It would be
quite nice if I could just pass-through all the additional PCI devices
for those guest domains. Was hoping someone has already tried this and
could give me a "Yah!" or "Nope!" on attempting it.
Thanks!

small bug
....
Of course, to add 8-bit clean data, one has to muck with vc.user_comments
directly, since no easy way to add an 8-bit-clean comment is provided
by the current API.
Anyway, either the spec or the code has to change. I hope it's the code,
so I can make my totally unworthy t-shirt claim. And yah, I realize the
comment tools don't handle the spec'ed 8-bit cleanliness yet either.
Erik.

has anybody made actionmailer work with rails 2.3.5?
Hi,
I have wasted few days and I''m not getting anywhere. I was trying to
follow tutorial on Rails Guides and this one:
http://www.tutorialspoint.com/ruby-on-rails/rails-send-email.htm .
All I need is to be able to send some text, nothing fancy. Why in
Rails it has to be so difficult? Why it can''t be so simple as in PHP?
Can anybody point me to some good simple tutorial,

lme and gls : accessing values from correlation structure and variance functions
Dear R-users
I am relatively new to R, i hope my many novice questions are welcome.
I have problems accessing some objects (specifically the random effects, correlation structure and variance function) from an object of class gls and lme.
I used the following models:
yah <- gls (outcome~ -1 + as.factor(Trial):as.factor(endpoint)+ as.factor(Trial):as.factor(endpoint):trt, data=datt[datt$Trial<4,],
correlation = corSymm(form=~1|as.factor(Trial)/as.factor(subject)), weights=varIdent(form=~1|endpoint))
bm <- lme (outcome~ -1 + as.factor(endpoint)+...

form_remote_tag and redirects
I would like to have a login box setup so that if incorrect info is
submitted, the box "shakes" via Effect.Shake.
If the correct information is submitted, I want to redirect to some other
page.
The only solution I''ve found is the following, which is pretty ugly, as it
displays the javascript I''m invoking on the page prior to the redirect.
Here is the code:

Including files from lib/
I asked about this a few days ago and got no replies, so I''m asking again.
I have a file called string_extensions.rb. In it, I extend the String class
to include some extra functionality. I put this file into the lib/ directory
of my app.
But the changes made to String don''t take effect. The program acts as though
the files aren''t being included.

Yes, I did an fsck from a boot dvd. It came up clean.

sox, ipsec-tools, samba
Hi all,
Lance got married and is a little distracted, at the moment. :)
so I built sox, samba and ipsec-tools for centos.
They're available here:

These are all for Centos-3
They're signed with my gpg key. As soon as
