Index of Character
...ction in R that returns the index of a character. For e.g. indexOf("Test1234", '4') would return 8. Is there a similar function in R. converting xml to a OpenStruct

moving form validation to client-side
Hi I know with javascript we can validate the input of a form on the client, is there an easy way to specify this in rails?
