Bug#603391: Workaround PyGrub issue
Confirmed this issue. To reproduce: Install a fresh Wheezy AMD64 guest under Xen 4.1 (hypervirtualized, boot from the debian-7.1.0-amd64-CD-1.iso). Use "entire disk" automatic layout for partitioning, this creates /dev/xvda1 for / and /dev/xvda5 for swap. It will create /boot/grub/grub.cfg with many references to (/dev/xvda,msdos1) which works fine when the machine is booted hypervirtualized. PyGrub can not handle the /dev/ syntax for devices, even though Grub can. My details: Package: xen-utils-4.1 Version: 4.1.4-3+deb7u1 Architecture:...

Mats, Thanks for your trial; following your mail I tried it with hda; it is the same, it does not work - "fdisk -l" does not show hda. Phoronix Xen vs KVM vs Virtualbox benchmark with Ubuntu 11.10
Hello, http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=ubuntu_1110_xenkvm&num=1 Ubuntu 11.10 with Xen 4.1.1 and Linux 3.0. Xen seems to be doing very poorly on that benchmark. If someone has time to repeat that benchmark it would be good.. Comparing the results to those from Stefano from XenSummit 2011 NA there has be something wrong.. the results at XenSummit were pretty much the

RESEND [Xen-unstable][Qemu-xen] HVM Guest reading of Expansion ROM from passthroughed PCI device returns data from emulated VGA rom
*RESEND* due to exceeding the mailinglists limit for attachment size. Hi, I''m trying to get secondary vga-passthrough on a HVM guest to work with a AMD HD6570 and the native kernel radeon driver and kernel modesetting. So the guest still gets the emulated stdvga or cirrus device(used in my case here) as primary/boot vga adapter. - When i don''t passthrough the radeon card, the
