File size limitation?
When I run backup and send the output to a file on the server, I get a file limitation of 2g. When I do the same backup to a snap server, there is no problem. Is there a size limitation for a single file? Thanks, Steven C. Henry stevench@xnet.com

set.seed ( ) function
I am using /set.seed()/ before the /sample/ function. How does the length of the argument of /set.seed()/ and order of the digits affect how the sampling is carried out? Specifically, I have used set.seed(123456789). Will this configuration give me a genuinely random sampling?? Thank you in anticipation. Penny. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Transitioning from existing PBX
...I would guess FXS, but I'm confused. 3. If the *PBX is receiving an in-bound IP call, can it present it to the KXT as another CO line? Is this trivial or postdoctoral stuff? 4. Any suggestions about the best way to convert 2-wire analog phones to IP-based? Cisco? Grandstream? Xnet? Others? 5. We have 8 Panasonic 4-wire phones with Lots O' Buttons (tm). What should I consider for replacements? ADSI? IP-phones? Soft IP phones? Any opinions about features vs. price vs. voice quality vs. reliability? (I'm sure there are! :-) ) Thanks in advance! Pet...

prio0 problem
Hello, Just ran into a weird issue. Debian woody with ernel 2.4.26 from backports. A htb hierarchy with a class for local originated traffic, having a bunch of prio 0 filters. All other filters from other classes use prio 3 to prio 6. Well, it does not work as expected, there is local traffic that does not go to that class. Changing filters to prio 1 and it all works as expected. What am I

boot speed
To: Syslinux From: John Plunkett When Syslinux is used with floppy disks with a 1.44 MB format the boot proceeds at a good speed with no problems. When a format over 1.44 MB is used, the boot takes up to ten minutes. Is there a special setting for booting from floppy disks over 1.44 MB's? Is there documentation on how to configure with floppy disks with a format over 1.44 MB's? Thanks,

size limits
Hi, I have a few questions about how to handle large data sets in R. What is the size of the largest matrix that R can comfortably deal with? Is this size limit imposed by R's software, or is it a question of the machine that one runs on? How does one go about choosing reasonable values of vsize and nsize? I have a data set with about 1,000,000 rows, and 30
