I know at first glace you might think it's terrible, but in my experience in windows it's pretty good. my question really is, do intel drivers suffer from the same or similar issues that ati drivers do when it comes to running directx games under wine? or is it simply a matter of power? it'd really be a shame to not be able to play even old games on my laptop

The GMA X3100 is not compatible with wine at the moment (i think). It has had issues with everything I have tried to run. I have tried wine with both linux and OSx. And most app's will complain.

I know this is a pretty old game, but I feel like the problem is universal. Graphics settings for the game don't detect any graphics drivers other than a HAL display device. Hi. Since there is a lot of misleading info on the net I wanted to ask if there is any way to make OpenGL work with wine on MacOSX? I know it is not wine's fault but maybe there is some workaround that I am not aware of? I just installed Xubuntu 8.04, Wine 0.9.60 and Warcraft 3. Ive set it so it uses OpenGL and in game i get less than 30fps with everything on low and a low resolution. On Windows i can run it on medium with 1280x800 at 60fps. Im new to Xubuntu/linux so i dont know what could be causing it. Is this expected from Wine? Specs are 1GB RAM, Intel C2D 1.66GHZ, Intel 945GM onboard graphics.
