Hello,
I am moving LDAP from one domain to another
We have moved off of a.wustl.edu network to b.school.edu network.
I have searched

I restarted
/etc/init.d/nscd restart
this is redhat 6.7, and my ldap server is now ldap.b.wustl.edu:389

Using R to format a file using a server (PDB to PQR file)
I am trying to write a program that uses R and takes a pdb file, and converts
it to a pqr file. This task is simple generally, using the website,
http://pdb2pqr-1.wustl.edu/pdb2pqr/. How do you use R to input a pdb file
(that is on hand) into the upload pdb file input, and run the website and
give the return file to be a pqr file. Thanks for your help.

Debian backport on Stretch?
I got a new laptop in September and installed Stretch (I had been using
Jessie), and I tried to follow the instructions on
https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/, as I had multiple times in
the past: I added
deb http://cran.wustl.edu/bin/linux/debian stretch-cran34/
to the end of sources.list, I followed the rest of the above directions as
of early September, as best I recall, and I only got a partial
installation. 3.4.2 is installed, but I'm limited in what packages I can
load using aptitude (I haven't tried inst...

new Adaptec ATM driver available
...e Applied Research Lab (ARL) of Washington University and the ATOMIC-2
Project at USC/ISI are pleased to announce the availability of a BSD
device driver for the Adaptec 590x series of PCI ATM host adaptors (eg
ANA-5940)
Written by Chuck Cranor of Washington University's ARL (chuck@ccrc.wustl.edu),
the "MIDWAY" ATM device driver originally supported Efficient Network's
PCI ATM 155Mbps cards under FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD. Working with
Anne Hutton of USC/ISI, Chuck has recently added support for the Adaptec
series of 155Mbps PCI ATM cards to the driver.

I'd greatly appreciate if you'd let me know if I'm just doing something
silly; my email is larry@eye-hand.wustl.edu
But even if I *am* doing something silly, perhaps there's something in
the documentation that might be changed to prevent someone else from
making the same error.
Thanks!

Substituting numerical values using `apply'
Hello,
I wish to perform a substitution of certain numerical values in a data
matrix with the corresponding column name. For instance, if I have a data
matrix
V1 V2 V3
2 0 1
0 1 2
1 5 0
5 0 0
I want to substitute the `1' and the `2' for the corresponding column name,
and make everything else `NA' like this
V1 V2 V3
V1 NA V3
NA V2 V3
