uids/gids changed after upgrade from 3.021c to 3.023
Hi All, Yesterday, I've upgraded my Samba server from 3.021c to 3.023 through yum upgrade samba*. I'm running Fedora Core 4 Kernel 2.6.17-1.2142 on this server. WP flag in CR0, setting
Hello! I have a slight problem in my guest port with the WP bit in CR0. The original kernel maps certain kernel pages to user-mode read-only and relies on the kernel being able to modify these despite the read-only bit being set in the pages. [PATCH] turn off writable page tables
At OLS I gave a talk on some of the Xen scalability inhibitors, and one of these was writable page tables. We went over why the feature does not scale, but just as important, we found that the uniprocessor case does not provide any advantage either.
