Then I thought - what if sshd had builtins like bash, so that i could send a "reboot" command to the ssh daemon instead "ssh system /sbin/reboot" andd sshd could tell PID 1 to reboot. There are, of course, a lot things to think about here, but I really think this would be a good thing to think about implementing. It sure would've helped me now. -- Mvh, Lars Bahner

Gregexpr - extract results with lapply Hello, I need to extract sequences of three upper case letters in a string. In other words, in this string: str <-c("ABC", "this WOUld be gOOD") The result I'm looking for is ABC WOU OOD. 1600x900 not available
I have no idea how.? All I can find is the Hi-DPi settings in Gnome-Tweak but, of course, it only lets? me choose to scale from "1" to "2" which makes things way too big. What is so bad about primaryGroupID=513?
I try to set up Samba 2.2.4 / LDAP as a PDC and it almost works. The only thing I don't understand is why a domain user can't have a primaryGroupID of 513 (which looks like it should be a safe default). But if I set it, login is denied with an error C0000078 on the client, and something like [2002/06/03 10:32:28, 3] smbd/sec_ctx.c:set_sec_ctx(314) setting sec ctx (65534, 65534) -

Thanks for the help. I've got it working now.? What I ended up doing was adding video=1600x900 to my boot / kernel command line to test and then appended it in my grub menu. ProxyCommand that returns a socket
...nc utility with various parameters. That in turn after the initial setup just copies copies the data from the network socket to stdin/stdout. This useless coping can be avoided if ssh has an option to receive the socket from the proxy command. I suppose it can improve network error reporting as ssh would talk directly to the network socket rather than a proxy, right?
