C7, systemd, say what?!
I think we had enough of Systemd flaming last month. Please stop polluting my inbox and find an operating system compatible with your worldview. It is really tiresome to keep on hearing about it. [LLVMdev] Expressing ambiguous points-to info in AliasAnalysis::alias(...) results?
Hi all, I'm playing around with implementing an existing non-LLVM AA algorithm as an LLVM AA pass. I'm looking for suggestions for getting it to fit in AliasAnalysis's worldview, so that it might eventually be a candidate for inclusion in LLVM. The algorithm maintains a may-point-to graph. Unfortunately the algorithm doesn't delete an "A-->B" edge when there's a strong update of "A" but the value copied into "A" isn't a pointe...

CentOS 7: software RAID 5 array with 4 disks and no spares?
...k" are your domain, your specialty, and ultimately they don't really care how it happens, they just want to get to B. And once that's well understood, you can get on with things. And one problem is the installer can't really have that kind of diplomatic conversation about what its worldview is, so that the user expectations re-align with the end goal in mind, not how to get there. -- Chris Murphy

Best config for 12 FXO system?
I have a client who wants a Meetme box with 12 FXO ports, to connect to Analogue lines coming from an Ericsson PBX. It looks like I could do this with four different hardware configurations: a) three TDM04B cards (based on TDM400P) b) one TDM04B and one TDM808B c) one TDM804B (or TDM854B?) and one TDP808B d) one TDM2403B (half filled TDM2400P) Apart from considerations of cost and PCI slot

Wintertime/summertime difference - Samba servers show wrong time ?
When the Central European Time was last switched back to standard, at 03:00 last Sunday, the October 30th, a process died on one of my Windows clients with a mysterious "unknown error". When it was restarted it just went merrily on with its task. Luckily it wasn't part of a life support system. I found out that the immediate cause was how file timestamps were interpreted/presented
