Can't browse workgroup
I have joined my w2k client to workgroup_name, however I cannot see my samba server at all. Basic SAMBA configuration help
...ll I don't have a 'nobody' user but I KNOW that the login name and password used are correct and present in the smbpasswd file. So after many hours of failing to get a PDC working I tried to get a simple workgroup working. With a simple smb.conf file as follows: [global] workgroup = workgroup_name server string = Samba %v No shares, just a simple workgroup and a server string to start off with. Puzzle -- Logon/Login from Windows XP
I hope somebody can help me with this. I posed this question a week ago and got several well-meaning answers that were not very helpful. I have 10 Windows XP workstations and 100 users. NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE
I recently upgraded from RedHat 6.2 to 7.3. I had samba running fine so I could mount space on our windows network. Somehow this got broken in the upgrade.
