Can't browse workgroup
I have joined my w2k client to workgroup_name, however I
cannot see my samba server at all. If I try and view it
via 'Computers Near Me' I get a error window stating:
'Workgroup_name is not accessible.'
'The account is not authorized to log in from this station.'
I get the same error if I try this as the w2k

that the login name and password used are correct and present in the
smbpasswd file. So after many hours of failing to get a PDC working I tried
to get a simple workgroup working. With a simple smb.conf file as follows:

workgroup = workgroup_name
server string = Samba %v
No shares, just a simple workgroup and a server string to start off with.

Puzzle -- Logon/Login from Windows XP
I hope somebody can help me with this. I posed this question a week ago and

user. In other words, only THAT

NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE
I recently upgraded from RedHat 6.2 to 7.3. I had samba running
fine so I could mount space on our windows network. Somehow this
got broken in the upgrade. My linux box is called k466a and my
username there is mcliff. On the windows network I am cliffm.
If I do
~$ smbclient -L MCBRAGG -U cliffm
added interface ip=128.210.132.45 bcast=128.210.132.255
nmask=255.255.255.0
