I even went through the trouble of "converting" to VMWare workstation and thinking ESX could import that - Apparently still Wrong... I cannot for the life...

Implementing more than one asterisk instance in the same hardware machine?
...e each asterisk instance to work on a difference IP than the other where the server already has more than one IP address. We need to implement this situation because in case we need to do testing for any scenario of configuration, then other instances will not be effected. Is it possible without WMWare? Regards Bilal

Announce: VMware NUT client for ESXI 5.0
Dear NUT users, I recently came across an interesting effort to integrate NUT with WMware ESXI, made by Ren? Garcia. This is still rough and young, but already providing a good support: http://www.networkupstools.org/download.html#_virtualization_packages We will work jointly in the coming months, Ren?, Aur?lien (from Eaton) and myself, with the support from Eaton (which is a VMware p...

Custom vmlinuz/initrd.img ??
...rd.img. I am using cobbler http://cobbler.et.redhat.com/ and am trying to get it to work with VMware, When I imported the CentOS 5 installation CD cobbler selected a vmlinuz/initrd.img and stuffed them into /tftpboot/images/CentOS5-i386/ I don't betlieve this vmlinuz/initrd.img supports the WMware network drivers. How do I check what drivers are supported in this vmlinuz/initrd.img pair? If as I suspect I need to add support for the vmware nic drivers, how do I do that? -- Drew Einhorn -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Any suggestion? -- Thanks http://www.911networks.com When the network has to work

using Linux as a front-end controller for a SAN?
Hi all, I hope someone can shed some light on this for me. Has anyone tried, or have experience with, setting up a Linux server to manage a few NAS devices and thus make them all visible to the clients as one large SAN? Basically, I'm thinking it would be a good idea to combine the current NAS's we have into one large system (typically a SAN?) and then let the clients all connect to one

smbd keeps maxing out the cpu, must reboot server constantly
This is running in vmware, and I noticed occasionally wmware reports that the cpu is being maxed out by a virtual machine. Logging into the virtual machine and running top confirms that the smbd process is maxing out the cpu. If I leave it alone for a while, eventually it starts dropping connections and not letting people into the file server. Killing the...
