PocketPC 2005
Hi,
I'm experiencing weird problems while testing speex (I want to
test the echo canceller first) on PDA with WM5 version pocket PC 2005.
Here is the strange scenario:
1-> App running without being linked with speex -> no problem
2-> App running while being linked with speex -> crash at always the same
place.
NO ACCESS TO SPEEX IS DONE.

Decoder performance on Windows Mobile 5
Hello,
I'm trying to use the speex decoder on Windows Mobile 5. I have compiled the debug version of the lib for WM5 PPC. I am running this test on an HTC TyTn phone.
I'm decoding 4Kbits narrowband speex audio. Each decode call takes a buffer of size 100 bytes.
The problem is that each decode call takes around 130ms to complete. This is too slow for the audio to play back if I stream the decoded audio to th...

Our community (portegeclub.ru) was sent request for help writing wm5 drivers on g900. (http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/nouveau/2008-April/001390.html). Answer was - no.
But situation was changed - can you help our community in writing GF5500 drivers for linux?
If you want i can pay for this work (no to much, i'm a student) and test dev code on my device....

Integrating speex with VideoNet application: Constantbackground noise
Hi John,
I noticed the values after decode is very much different from the values of the original PCM samples. For cases when the PCM sample values are constant (because no one is speaking), the decoded values fluctuate too. These fluatuations are causing the background noise. Is my observation expected?
Thanks,
Carine

Speex echo canceller creating some problems. No voice coming.
...ve side and send side and I am using common
instance of echo_state between these two classes.
Am I doing anything wrong here? I have tried setting frame_size with 20,160
and frame_filter_length as 100,256,300 etc but I found no success here.
Can anyone please suggest me anything? I am using WM5 devices on both end.
Is there anything that this echo canceller will work with speex codec only?
Do I need to do anything special that I am missing?

Echo Canceller on Windows Mobile
...e of the PREPROCESSOR definitions that
come with the library. Are you saying we need to actually hand optimise
(modify)the code as well? Did you use assembly language for this?
Definitely you have to work on your own to optimize the code. I haven't
used assembly so far since the efficiency on WM5/6.
Thanks

Theora & Vorbis on your mobile phone
Hey guys + gals,
Would you know where to point me to for an open source or commercial implementation of Theora & Vorbis for your mobile phone?
Maybe as a Symbian app? Maybe a Java midlet?
I'd like to be able to download & play video files to the mobile as well as maybe stream them too? Am I asking too much? :-)
Thanks in advance for your help!
Callum.

Windows Mobile build, memory allocation
I have sent the visual studio project files that compile the speex
client to jean-marc directly (as an attachment), sometime this week, I
will also upload the binary builds of static library files to my site
www.phonestack.com.
I am porting our LTP (lightweight telephony protocol) to some embedded
systems. I require to run speex in an environment that doesn't support
memory allocations. How

Speex realtime encoding/decoding "Real world" usage for Windows Mobile / Symbian device
hi all,
I can claim that our hotfoon service has run millions of mobile voip
minutes using speex on mobile and desktops. it works!
earlier you needed more powerful cpus (until the integer port),
however now the cpus are much faster and the code complexity is much
lower.
my only regret is of not being able to write some demo apps for speex
on win mob. I will surely deliver it in june to settle this

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list.
I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without
modifications.
How did I try it?
Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock )
Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a
rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee
prep-out.log
The build failed at the end:
