Wine NT Services / Serial Port
..., the GPS Add-In doesn't work. I'm not completely certain, if it's the serial port (/dev/ttyS0, correctly configured according to all the docs I found) or the gps-dlls with cause the problem. Obviously, there are two different such add-ons. One intended for win95 and the other one for winnt40. At least the winnt40 version registers itself as service during installation, but I'm suspecting, that this dll/exe isn't executed in such a manner, that autoroute.exe can access it when it runs. Also, when you active the GPS function in AutoRoute, wine reports, that the ports (com, lpt)...

I have installed R version 1 for windows and have installed the survival5 package in the library folder, but the base package only seems to partially acknowledge survival5's presence. How have I screwed up? The diagnostics are as follows... >library(survival5) ** no warning given.. seems OK ** >help(package=survival5) **this gives the contents of the package correctly,

Amanda 2.3.0.5-Samba 1.9.16p11 PC backups...
At the bottom is what I got returned from AMANDA 2.3.0.5 after patching Samba 1.9.16p11 to give estimates. Any idea what I might not have done yet? My disklist reads: shokk \\thor\depot nocomp-user-gnutar To connect successfully to that server with smbclient, I have to do this, giving the same password that I now have in /etc/amandapass: smbclient \\\\THOR\\DEPOT -U BACKUP Also, the

I am receiving this error randomly when using smbclient to access pc shares : FINDFIRST gave ERRSRV - (Non-specific error code.) I use smbclient with Amanda to backup pc shares. For amanda to work, it uses smbclient to recursively scan through the entire directory tree and get total MB size of each directory. The problem is that when trying to enter some directories it gives the above error and
