Finding ties in data (be)for(e) BradleyTerry
...However, BT does not handle ties between stimuli, so I need to find those in my data before I can use that model. The code below goes from the format of my result file(s) to a data frame suitable for BT, but as you can see, there are some ties. I need to find the rows with identical (but swapped) winner and loser and with the same frequency. How can I accomplish that using the R-way (not looping through the entire thing; in reality, I have approx 40 stimuli with around 180 observations of an odd 40 subjects)? # $lp was left picture; $rp, right one; $wr was the winner/chosen one by subject. dat &...

RailsDay2005 entries/winners apps?
Hello, Does anybody know where I could find the sources or the demos of apps presented to RailsDay2005? So far I only found yubnub.org and the list of the winners and a lot of no-longer valid URLs pointing to railsday.com. Thanks, Marius Popescu http://mapopescu.blogsome.com -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Sample Size Calculation using a Drop the Loser/Keep the Winner Design
Hello Everyone, ? I need to perform a sample size calculation using a drop the loser/keep the winner design. I've been searching for examples of how to do this using R but haven't found much. ? The most promising possibility thus far is an R?function called DrpLsrNRst. This appears in the book "Adaptive Design Theory and Implementation Using SAS and R". I found the function onli...

Can I protect access to a relationship?
Hi, I have a class Match that looks like this (simplified) class Match < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :opp1, :class_name => "Player", :foreign_key => "opp1_id" belongs_to :opp2, :class_name => "Player", :foreign_key => "opp2_id" belongs_to :winner, :class_name => "Player", :foreign_key => "winner_id" end Can I prevent code from doing this? @match.winner = @some_player You can protect attributes from mass assignment, but that''s not good enough in this case.. Camping is a winner at SXSW-i
Last night, a little Camping application I wrote called MetaNotes<http://www.metanotes.com/>won the Experimental division in the SXSW Web Awards<http://2008.sxsw.com/interactive/web_awards/finalists/> . MetaNotes is a site that lets you (and many other people) simultaneously place colorful post-it notes on a wide canvas. If you get lucky, you may see notes move in the background as

RE: XP Pro timeout; we have a winner - webclient service
Thanks to Jason Balicki for the correct fix to this problem. The 'webclient' service in Windows XP, somehow interferes with access to the Samba server. With the service stopped and disabled, the clients are working again. SIP calls cause Segmentation Fault
I have an asterisk installation at a client, it's quite simple. Basically it's an asterisk downloaded from CVS about a week ago, with 3 Zaptel FXO cards (the digium ones) and 10 Grandstream Budgettone SIP phones ... Every now and then, especially when a call is ringing and not picked up immediately, Asterisk quits with a segmentation fault error. IT seems quite inexplicable, my dialplan

[LLVMdev] Suggestion About Adding Target Dependent Decision in LSR Please
Hi Andy, Actually, if we just add hooks that preserves the existing behavior, It is not difficult. For example, For case one, we can define one function like virtual const SCEV* getTargetPreferredWinnerReg(const SCEV*& ScaledReg, SmallVector<const SCEV *, 4>& BaseRegs, GlobalValue*& BaseGV) const; In NarrowSearchSpaceByPickingWinnerRegs, we can preserves the winner reg from target and winner reg from the original algorithm if this function returns NULL, it is j...

I am trying to use gee() to calculate the robust standard errors for a logit model. My dataset (zol) has 195019 observations; winner, racebl, raceas, racehi are all binary variables. ID is saved as a vector of length 195019 with alternating 0's and 1's. I get the following error message. I also tried the same command with corstr set to "independence" and got the same error message. > ID <- as....

The winner (and the official SHA3 algorithm), BMW and Skein are all worth looking at. If your primary criterion is through-put on large, desktop-class CPUs, Skein is likely to be the winner. Keccak (the official SHA3) is also pretty fast on CPUs (and significantly better in hardware implementations, not tha...
