Hi, Does anyone know the specifics of running two versions of WINE? I have an old WinBlows app that will work only with the 20010216 version, but some of my other apps do run better with the latest version of WINE. Would I be able to stick the old version somewhere in my directory hierarchy and still have a newer version for my newer apps? I suspect that the development folks do something

Hi, I have a game that I want to run multiple instances of. This game creates a mutex to prevent this. That kind of limits my options on getting this to work. I also want to run it in a virtual desktop, side-by-side. So I copied my .wine directory to .wine2. I created a launcher for the game with the command: Code: env WINEPREFIX="/home/username/.wine2" wine "/home/username/Desktop/gamefolder/game.exe" And this works until the game needs to use a file in its directory. I run these apps alone in dedicated Wine processes. For example, I have the folllwing: .wine .wine-lotro .wine2 .wine3 Is there any way to tell winetricks which process to use when installing components? I installed Office 2003 in Wine without any winetricks or native DLLs. Excel works great, Word crashes a lot and can't save. What's the current best attempt to get Word 2003 to work in Wine?
