Which native dlls (that CAN be overridden) can have anything to do with DirectSound?
...and stability), under Win9x however it works great (I have Windows98 on my older machine ? no problems there). With wine... well aside from poor performance (on older CPUs that should run this thing without problems), and sound issues ? works great. So... I was wondering ? which native dlls (from Windows9x I think) that CAN be overridden can have ANYTHING to do with sound? For now I tried ole32.dll from dcom98 (I installed dcom98 actually) but I don't know if this have anything to do with sound... Please advice. Wine Conformance Test on Windows 9x, how to report?
I've run two conformance test binary (winetest-latest and winetest-8cbb8cc38d01) on Microsoft Windows Me 4.90.3000, both warned that Win9x was not supported, and I wouldn't be able to submit results. The lastest one said that there were about 67 tests failed (some wscript and msi error dialog appeared during the test) and it also said that there might be some problem with my

convert_string_talloc: Conversion error: Incomplete multibyte sequence
My users are having a lot of problems since I upgraded a samba domain member server from samba-3.0.37 to 3.5.X. The main issue seems to be a very long delay loading office files (sometimes minutes if the file loads at all) and a lot of read only errors and users not being able to save. I have found that rebooting the client, restarting samba, or killing the users smbd process regains access to the

Samba 1.9.18 DOS to UNIX and back with ASCII
I have found that Samba does not seem to handle the ^M EOL character very well. This seems to be a big problem with Windows Notepad and then in vi for UNIX. Other than the ux2dos and dos2ux commands does anyone know of another solution or if this has been fixed in a more current release of Samba? Thanks!
