i just updated the 0.9.50 to 58, but i get the following error when i run winecfg: fixme:spoolsv:serv_main (0 (nil)) err:service:service_get_status service protocol error - failed to read pipe r = 0 count = 0! the winecfg seems to work fine. but i don't know about what kind of error is that i get with winecfg. is it critical?

...a clue as to whether or not im doing it correctly. The whole reason im doing this is so i can get winamp to play music. I keep getting "Device not found. Please select another device in configuration. Error code: 88780078" So I browsed around the forums and tried changing the drives in wincfg. But every time time I select a different drive and test it. The test fails. (on all of them) SO, then I search that problem on the forums here and that's when I stumbled upon that guide above. I am trying to map a network (windows shared) DVD drive via WINE. Using Ubuntu Remix 9.04, I have mounted the drive and am able to access it via Ubuntu. However cannot map a drive letter via the Wincfg interface. The various suggestions in a various forums have suggested mapping to the /mnt/sub-folder however there does not seem to be a sub-folder in the /mnt directory. Is there something I am missing? Hi, I'm moving my config to a new PC. I do not wish to reinstall all Windows apps under Wine. So I installed Wine on the new PC (Ubuntu 11.10), ran wincfg and then I copied the files from the old PC /home/.wine to the new one. My problem is : how can I recover the menu entries that were created when I first installed the Windows apps under Wine ? I searched the whole file system for .desktop files but none seems to be ones I look for. Thanks.

Hi there! Recently I bought a simple Headset so I don't have to use my webcam mic in Teamspeak anymore. Its a normal analog Headset, so no USB. I plugged it in my Audigy2 and it works fine. The thing is, when I'm in Teamspeak starting Wine (wincfg is enough) it seems to "lock" the Microphone input of my Audigy2. Then I only can use it inside Wine and only hear what the others saying.
