share printing with Win95C (OSR3)?
I'm working on a samba server on a DG/UX (that's Data General, not Digital) system. We have 95A, 95B, 98 and NT clients all printing to the printers fine. The security is share and all the printers are setup properly and printing from clients using these versions of windows. All machines are network-wise, setup the same. I applied the patches that were listed in

samba and win95-login
...e "OK"-Button: "invalid parameter". I have set the debug-level of samba to 3, but I don't get any error message. Also I have deactivatet the encrypted passwords in the registry. When I use a "normal" smb.conf, then I can access the shares without any problem. I use win95c and samba-1.9.18p7. The only thing in /usr/local/opt/samba/netlogon is a batchfile called t.bat. Here is my smb.conf: [global] syslog only = yes Workgroup=GALLIER guest account=nobody security = user domain logons = yes domain master = yes logon script=t.bat wins support = yes os level=65 preferr...

sig 11
Linux 2.2.13 Intel samba-2.0.7pre2 will Sig11 and die on me right after processing NetBIOS name = FOO in smb.conf. Not always, but sometimes I have to start smbd 2 or 3 times. It always fails there. Any reason why 2.0.7pre2 would do this, and 2.0.6 (from rpm) never did? -- Edward Schernau http://www.schernau.com Network Architect mailto:ed@schernau.com Rational Computing Providence, RI,

Winamp plugin not recognized at all
I happily downloaded the official beta4 winamp plugin as well as Mattew's versions with VCE interated and with/without the dialog. When I installed it winamp (v2.72) didn't recognize it (no vorbis plugin listed in the config, doesn't play ogg files) - same for all of them. I recompiled it myself from Mattew's source with vce - same results. It does recognize the old plugin when

network connection crashes
Since I get any response I try again -- hoping that somebody have ANY idea! A network with a RedHat 6.0 linux server and samba 2.0.6 and Windows 95 clients: When I for example copy large (binary?) files from local drives to one of my Samba shares I VERY often experience that the network connection to the Win95 machine crashes. The lovely Windows Blue-Screen message about an exception appears,
