Trivial cross compilation problem
Jean-Marc, > I've got no problem cross-compiling with gcc for Blackfin. See the > README.blackfin file. Thank you for your help, Jean-Marc. I get no further with that than I did before, I'm afraid. I get: [willmore@l2 speex-1.1.11.1]$ export CC=pic30-elf-gcc [willmore@l2 speex-1.1.11.1]$ ./configure --enable-fixed-point --host=pic30-elf configure: WARNING: If you wanted to set the --build type, don't use --host. Trivial cross compilation problem
Hello, all! I'm trying to see if I can get stock Speex to compile for dsPIC using the current release of the gcc compiler targeted for it. I'm stuck at the very beginning of trying to get past the configure stage. Can anyone who cross-compiles give me an example of how they do that? Cheers, David

Guestfish errors (Running in VirtualBox)
Hi All, I am trying to run guestfish inside an Ubuntu instance running in VirtualBox. I'm running into problems, and my first question, is this setup even possible? I compiled and installed libguestfs-1.8.4. Running libguestfs-test-tool fails with the following output. Would appreciate any advice, Chris new guestfs handle 0x8b77958 ===== Test starts here ===== LIBGUESTFS_DEBUG=1 library

NHW Project - lower quality settings

For now, I focus on high compression settings, for me it's very complex, but currently high compression settings are mandatory for a new image/video codec. Many thanks again for your feedback! Monty on holiday
Hi folks, My wife and I are taking a long weekend to celibrate our anniversary. I won't be around again until Wednesday to answer email or do anything else on Vorbis. Yeah, I know, I usually answer my email once a month anyway (so likely no one would notice me being gone), but just so folks know if anything really juicy comes up :-) I'll be merging my latest branch with mainline

Speex on dsPIC
All, I don't know if this is widely known, but it appears that Microchip has just released a library to perform speex compression/decompression on a dsPIC processor. The library is available under their license, so I can only assume that it is a reimplementation of the algo and not a port. Does anyone know otherwise? Cheers, David

rsync support
Hi Rich et al., Has an rsync addition to libguestfs been considered? It would be great to have when copying the contents of a filesystem to a disk of a different filesystem. It could also be used to keep portions of cloned machines in sync. For example, I'm porting VirtualBox images to Xen. I sometimes make change to the source image that I would like to easily propagate to the Xen copy. DD

Digital speech within 100 Hz bandwidth
Dear Sir, Could you please forward this e-mail to your engineering department. I am a ham radio person who wants to transmit from the Earth to the moon and back to the Earth by phone not by Morris code. This will be a very weak signal. I need an extra 13.8 dB of gain. Could you please help me distribute the attached paper to someone who could take this project into the next level? Please reply
