Problem with timezone configuration
Hello,
I have a problem configuring the timezone on a CentOS 5.5 server.
I would like the timezone to be Europe/Paris.
I have followed the steps described here:
http://www.wikihow.com/Change-the-Timezone-in-Linux
I think I have changed the appropriate configuration files ( /etc/localtime, /etc/sysconfig/clock ), but the output of the ?date? command still indicates the timezone is EST.
[root at xxx ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release

Problems with installing R packages from source and running C++ in R, even on fresh R installation

Now we need to find out why R CMD SHLIB itself fails without producing
any output. Do you get any output from tools::Rcmd('SHLIB --version')?
Does tools::Rcmd('') print the list of available options?

This WikiHow article points in the right direction:
https://www.wikihow.com/Change-the-PATH-Environment-Variable-on-Windows
It might help to prepend
C:\\rtools43/x86_64-w64-mingw32.static.posix/bin;C:\\rtools43/usr/bin;
...to the existing value of PATH. On the other hand, it might not. I

if you install cgi programs from rpm, how to configure for actual use in /var/www/html ?
...required everything to b e under /var/www/html/, so I
copy files in there. The mediawiki116 documentation does not mention
this problem, but I've googled long enough until I found this, which
agrees with me that it is necessary to copy the files over in order to
use the media wiki.
http://www.wikihow.com/Install-MediaWiki-on-Fedora
Unfortunately, now the upgrade path is obscured. When RPM updates its
files (scattered over the file system), what to do?

how to properly change the timezone
Hi,
I have a Centos 5.5 server with no GUI installed. I have several times
changed the timezone by copying the correct file to /etc/localtime,
however something keeps changing it back. I'm not sure if this is a yum
update or what. Without installing the graphical tools, how can I
update the timezone in such a way that the /etc/localtime file won't
keep getting clobbered.
Thank

Network play in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2

machines.
I have already checked out the appdb [3], but did find a helpful
comment.
Has someone got the network play to work?
Best regards

When someone helps you, at least let them know if the problem is resolved or not
I'll keep this brief because I don't want to come across like any more of an
a$$ than I absolutely have to, especially since I know I've blown my stack
before.....
Gentlemen (and Ladies, if you're out there),
If someone gives you advice on this list, and ESPECIALLY if they give you
advice offlist, have the courtesy to (AT THE LEAST) to let them know when/if
you get your question
