Share root directory appears in subdirectories. (Well, can't actually see it but can cd into it, even if its not there.) (Serious bug?)
...ge I can see the contents of the root of the share, again. If there is a dir with the share name the contents are overridden, like described above. I've tried this on a client running 2.6.22.10. Same problem from this one too. Seems to be either an undisovered kernel or Samba Bug. mfg Wiesner Thomas

Interop RTP "Extension headers" for QOS?
We're setting up a connection with Level3's voip system and when we use Asterisk or make or recv calls we get an initial pulsing noise. Level3's Interop team explains that's their RTP extension headers and Asterisk apparently doesn't know what to do with it. He said we need to either ignore or of course let the traffic pass. Has anyone heard of this before? I understand the

rsync problem with cygwin 1.7.?
...omething else you want me to try, because if I don't find a solution, I'll have to find another way to sync my files, because Cygwin 1.7 seems to have rendered rsync totally useless to me. Should I have sent this to a Cygwin mailing list instead (or too)? Well, I don't know. mfg Wiesner Thomas

Re: [vorbis-dev] ACM codec
My concern is primarly the 'marketing' aspect. If UCI, or MCF, or any other interface, is adopted by the toolmakers, then that's a perfectly good solution. <p>-----Original Message----- From: Christian HJ Wiesner [mailto:christian.hj.wiesner@web.de] Sent: Tue 11/12/2002 10:10 AM To: theora-dev@xiph.org Cc: Subject: [theora-dev] Re: [vorbis-dev] ACM codec <p><"Dan Miller" <dan@on2.com> wrote in message news:<20021111153459.2AF71532A73@motherfish-II.xiph.org>... <hmm -- you...

Lossless audio codecs for video editing
Hi, this email is sent to flac-dev AT xiph DOT org, copied to matroska-devel AT lists DOT matroska DOT org, and David Bryant, the author of Wavpack4. We are about to implement the DV ( Digital Video ) video compression standard into matroska, to be able to offer an intelligent alternative to AVI for DV handling in editor tools. DV is using a high quality, high bitrate lossy video compression

Ogg Vorbis DirectShow decoder filter - ongoing development ?
Hi, ome of you may know me, i am one of the project admins of a video related opensource project. For playback of Vorbis audio tracks in movies, if being played on M$ via DirectShow, we are currently using the Vorbis decoder filter from Tobias Waldvogel. However, we found out that this decoder filter is not acting DirectShow compliant with respect to handling of timestamps. When passing the

Starting slapd: /bin/bash: /tmp/start-slapd.K12378: Permission denied
Hi, I'm running Centos 5, with openldap Version: 2.3.27 Release: 8.el5_2.4. When I run: $ sudo /etc/init.d/ldap start I get the following error: Starting slapd: /bin/bash: /tmp/start-slapd.l14891: Permission denied (obviously the temp file number changes every time). It appears to be a permission problem but I thought I did everything to set up the permissions correctly... Everything

Quicktime Vs Windows encoding with VP3
I found out about vp3 from the new winamp and coincidentally i also happen to be trying to find a suitable solution to broadband streaming. I have used flaskmpeg to create a 17mb .avi file from an 82mb Mpeg 1 file and it looks great it took about twenty minutes to encode. It runs for eight minutes and the audio is also fantastic using the lame encoder. However when I try to do the same in

RsyncFTP: Graphical user interface for rsync (announcement)
Questions about where to find graphical user interfaces for rsync occur regularly. Most of the existing GUIs are king of backup tools, but I needed something different, somthing more like FTP. I wrote RsyncFTP for my own usage. It is a rsync client (for rsync servers running in daemon mode) written in Java which looks and behaves like a FTP client and has been tested on Win2k, WinXP (and

Fax on demand
I know you're looking to do this with asterisk, however, if you have trouble and want an outsourced solution, try www.openfax.com. You can do the IVR with Asterisk and then write a script that calls Openfax and they send out the fax for you. krw -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Isamar Maia

Aastra/Sayson 480i
I'm currently testing these phones and so far I'm very pleased with them. I'm using the SIP image (Version: 1.0.0.23 Release: 0032-01-A4). There are a few issues with the speaker not working properly when you dial out or pick a call but this is a known issue and will be hashed out in the next release. I've been working with the developers at Sayson and they have been very
