Hi, I am using xen 4.0.1 from debian Squeeze repositories and dom0 has kernel 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64(also stock debian). I wanted to set a high value to maxmem in my xmdomain.cfg vm config files so that I can increase memory as needed without rebooting. how to install ash on CentOS 5.4?
Hi, Does anyone know if it's possible to install ash on CentOS 5.4, or just CentOS 5, for that matter? OT: Installing munin-node cleanly in spite of RPM
...ent, and I''d rather not follow that path. I could rebuild munin-node RPMs or use them from a third-party repository. I''ve fixed the major problems with the spec file shipped with the munin 1.2.5 source to the point that I can rebuild the RPMs; alternatively, I can rebuild the Dag Wiers SRPM for munin to get munin-node RPMs. Either way, these RPMs suffer from a flaw - they can''t find their prerequisites even though they''re installed and available when the code is installed from source (via CPAN.) The major problem is Net::Server::Fork which is included in the Ne...

Does anyone use pmacct?
...#39;ve been advised to use pmacct on a CentOS server, in order to keep track of network traffic used by the XEN domU's / VPS' / VM's on the server. I don't see a .rpm on their website so I don't know if it's safe to install the tarball. I also don't see an rpm in the dag wiers repository. Has anyone installed it on CentOS before? And if so, did you run into any problems? -- Kind Regards Rudi Ahlers CEO, SoftDux Hosting Web: http://www.SoftDux.com Office: 087 805 9573 Cell: 082 554 7532 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... article for consideration, Atheros 5007EG wireless card
I have a page where I document getting the increasingly popular AR5007EG Atheros wireless card working. (This is the card used in the Asus EEE PC). The current article covers several distributions, but would be modified to just cover CentOS. It does, however, involve getting third party software, as the rpmforge repos don't have the necessary drivers. (Apparently, it's a bit of a

Dovecot2 vs. AD, "Inactivity during authentication"
Hi, I'm trying to setup Dovecot2 for o IMAP client access o LDA for postfix mail delivery (with SIEVE) ... on a FreeBSD host. The FreeBSD server has no users (by intention), so I've set up a virtual mail domain, using LDAP lookups in Postfix. So far so good. Mail delivers into the proper mailbox. But I'm stuck getting Dovecot to authenticate. User- and passwd DB's are set

Polycom firmware 4.0.1 and paging
Hi, I just moved many Polycom phones from firmware v3 to 4.0.1b. Anto-Answer simply stopped functioning. I can downgrade and make it work, upgrading kills it again. There obviously is a difference in how the newer firmware is treating this auto answer sip header. Can anybody tell me if they have Polycom firmware 4.x.x working with auto-answer/paging? Just so I know it's worth my time

Please note that Windows 9x clients are not true members of a domain for reasons outlined in this article. Therefore the protocol for support Windows 9x style domain logons is completely different from NT4 domain logons and has been officially supported for some time. Did you read this document? Let me know what needs to be updated and i will take care of it. Cheers, jerry
