Recently we installed CENTOS 4.4 on DELL 2650 server. We found CPU load always on 3 and up if we run "top" or "w" to check. I am doing "tar" test due to some software require "tar cvhf". When I using "tar cvhf and tar xvhf ", files have symbolic link replace by physical files. wield things is my friend using same command 'tar cvhf and tar xvhf". after restore link still there. does there has way when I using "tar cvhf" and "tar xvhf" I can get link back not physical files? I have a laptop that has no CDROM, so I have to use an ISO. Anyway, I use to be able to mount the ISO at /media/cdrom and wine would recognize it as a cdrom. Now, when I try the same thing it doesn't recognize it as a cdrom. I have added /media/cdrom as a cdrom in winecfg, but still no luck. Can someone help me out, because this is the only thing preventing me from using my program (damn DRM).

Hi, I got a small VPN (2 hosts so far) running tinc. The connection is established, according to netstat, so I guess the configfiles are ok. When starting the deamon, nothing appears in syslog, not even when running with -dddd. So the VPN should work, but it doesn't. Pinging doesn't work, let alone TCP services as ftp or http. Are there ways to test/diagnose the VPN? TIA Bart
