[LLVMdev] Suggestions for LLVM Developer's Conference 2012
David, Sorry I missed the Community Event Planning session. There was this neat session on Backend\Infrastructure competing with it. :) Whiteboards (with markers (and erasers?)). I was speaking with Dan G about the complexities of trying to get the SelectionDAG to represent physical registers. He mentioned during our conversation that a whiteboard would help. Ballroom Salon V would have

[LLVMdev] Suggestions for LLVM Developer's Conference 2012
One idea for a hacking session would be a "performance analysis workshop". People could bring their apps, we could sample them track down what part of the compiler would need to change and code it up (if time allowed). Given the trade offs involved, it could be helpful to many folks, the trick is to get the right people to show up. -Chris On Nov 20, 2011, at 2:10 PM, Joe Abbey

[LLVMdev] Suggestions for LLVM Developer's Conference 2012
Hi John, While this is a good idea, wouldn't it logistically take longer to get the microphone to the person involved than for the presenter to repeat the question? Cheers, James From: llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu [mailto:llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu] On Behalf Of John Criswell Sent: 21 November 2011 05:07 To: llvmdev at cs.uiuc.edu Subject: Re: [LLVMdev] Suggestions for

EuroLLVM "Round Table" topics
Hi, We are looking for new "Round Table" topics (i.e. mini-bof topics - formally known as hackers lab). The round table sessions are a great way for us all to discuss face-to-face any burning topics. We have scheduled a table after each BoF sessions so that people can follow up on those conversation-topics. We will also setup round tables during the event when there is interest (i.e.

What's left for libguestfs 1.8 ...
Although 1.6.0 was only released 6 weeks ago, there have been 276 commits and 23 releases since then. It's therefore time to think about what needs to be done for 1.8. This is my personal list. Please follow up if you have other suggestions. Rich. * Implement guestfish --rw option / configuration file. http://libguestfs.org/guestfish.1.html#opening_disks_for_read_and_write * Alternate

OT: VoIP over bonded link
I have to provision several dozen * users to a seperate building on our campus in the same subnet. Ordinarily, I'd just run a gigabit cat6 cable to another switch if it doesn't violate the 100 metre rule, but this building is several hundred metres away from my backbone. My only option for cabling to the remote building is copper. My plan is to provision them with a Linux bridge with 4

Model for Tracking changes
Hi! I''m new to Rails (and ruby in general). I was planning to implement a whiteboard like system, in which changes made by users to the board are automatically tracked. Currently, I''ve implemented it as a model Post which :has_many Boards. A new Board is added to the Post every time a change is submitted (with a created_at timestamp). This allows saving multiple versions of

Trying to get started
I got Wine onto my computer. Now I have a bunch of .exe files and I can't get much of anything done. I saw a file named Start.exe, double-clicked it and got the following from Archive Manager: End of Central directory signature not found How do I get past this? I need to get Wine going so I can download a whiteboard application I need to tutor for Brainfuse.com.

Brainfuse QuickConnect in Wine
I got Brainfuse QuickConnect to come up in Wine but it's not all working properly. The whiteboard works fine. All the functions work well and curriculum explorer gets the right lessons. However, the lesson pages don't display correctly and none of the links down the left of the initial QC page work to take me to my schedule or anything else and neither do the links at the top of the

BoF: Debug info for optimized code.
Hi Martin, Yes, the patch only changes the format of line information. There will be more work needed for fully implementing it across all tools. Here your concern still stands---more focus on debug information for VLIW architectures would be welcome. I was only pointing out that the necessary capacity of the debug information to carry this data does in fact exist, and that at least one step
