IMAPS error with Dovecot?
...34 failed., was able to be opened, an error occurred while writing to the resource. Changing the flags of message imaps://my at myserver.com:993/INBOX/;UID=0,1866921748,1866921754,1866921769,1866921777:1866921783,1866921795,1866921800,1866921824:1866921828,1866921834 failed." It happens whever I mark a message as "read" and then resynch up with imap. I can *delete* messages just fine, I just can't change the flags on a message. I've scanned thru the /var/log/maillog, /var/log/secure, /var/log/messages and found nothing out of the ordinary. I've checked the permis...

Question regarding default user domain in samba
...g in an environment with an Active Directory forest where 100% of our user accounts exist one domain and 100% of our computer objects exist in another domain. I have winbind setup with pam & ssh, and everything is working fine. I can authenticate across the trust no problem. My issue is that whever I authenticate, I have to supply the domain name and whatever domain separator is configured in smb.conf to get this working. I know about the "use default domain" option in smb.conf, but from what I understand this will only "prepend" the default realm, or the domain that the...

TRANS.TBL files on Win95 fileserver
I have a small LAN in my basement, with my PC running RH5 Linux and a Win95 PC connected by Samba. Everything works fine, but when I smbmount a CD (burned with xcdroast) from the Linux box (CD is in the Win95 machine) I do not get the proper filenames. All files are uppercase, and the TRANS.TBL files appear to be ignored. I have tried playing with name mangling, but it didn't help. Is this a

xvm packages for 2008.05
It looks like xvm does not come built-in to Indiana 2008.05. Which leads to the obvious questions: 1. is xvm compatible with 2008.05 (looking to evaluate Indiana as Dom0)? 2. which packages need to be installed (still getting used to the IPS package naming structure) Thanks! UEFI boot manager sequence problems HP Envy
...ill likely solve the problem. > > It depends on the UEFI implementation, but when all the boot entries > are wrong (UUID changed due to new disk) sometimes it has a fallback > to find the Windows bootloader and choose it. > Thanks Jonathan. You're probably right about this as whever I try to do makes has effect. I've been looking in to efibootmgr to see what I need to do to get it working but so far with no luck. When I run it with -v I don't see any UUID details, nor can i see how I specify them. One thing I have noticed is that in the blkid output below everythin...

UEFI boot manager sequence problems HP Envy
Morning all, I have a HP Envy dual boot system (Win8 for serious stuff, i.e. Train Sim and Flight Sim) and Centos 7 for everything else. In the past I've had the occasional problem where an update on the windows side has updated the UEFI boot sequence but using efibootmgr has always fixed it. On Friday I discovered that my HDD was failing so I tried using Clonezilla to move it on to a new
