Extending Rails classes
Whereabouts would I want to put a Ruby file that extends a Rails class?
Say, adding a method to ActiveRecord::Base or something along those
lines. I''ve read that those classes go in /lib, but my application
doesn''t seem to see the changes I''ve made. Obviously I''m mis...

miro from rpmforge appears to have dep solving issues
Hi folks,
Anyone know the whereabouts of libgtkembedmoz.so()(64bit) as it is
needed by miro-1.0-1.el5.rf.x86_64 (rpmforge)
I tried a whatprovides and have looked at epel as well as rpmforge - no
luck.
While I'm asking, I'm looking for an internet HD TV viewer - miro looked
interesting - any other products you know of?
TIA

In principle a good idea, but I'm not sure the whereabouts of Catherine Loader are known at this point. Last peeps from her on the net seem to be about a decade old.

CentOS Based Infromational Document
For those of you who are either part of the secret cabal, or are otherwise
keeping track of it, there is a new version available.
The current version of the cryptex is version 3.1. It's changed rather
significantly in some areas.

Hey everyone,
I''m new to RoR - how can I get my database content filtered by alphabet?
Eg, on my php site now I use this format:

How can I get this kind of functionality out of ruby?
Also, how could I go about making a multiple select box of authors, then
depending on how many you chose, the next page of the form displays a

Dotmatrix Plots
Hi all,
Does anyone know what happened to the dna library or the dotmatrix
function? For the life of me, I can't find it anywhere with the
exception of this reference:
http://rss.acs.unt.edu/Rdoc/library/dna/html/dotmatrix.html
Thanks!

Do I need another package? I didn't found anything in the web this

Both Xen and VirtualBox On the Same Physical Host?
Hi all,
I have a Sun x2200 named Adra running OpenSolaris 2008.11 set up as a Dom0 per Levon''s instructions on this site. It hosts some production services and has been running nice and stable for a number of months now (with NetWare DomUs running GroupWise, believe it or not). The machine is pretty nicely speced out and there''s room for more virtualisation, so I was

Setting caller ID on outgoing calls.
Excuse me if I recently posted on this, but I cannot find it, in my, or the list archives.
Is it possible, when transferring a call, to set the user ID to that of the "outgoing number" instead of the incoming number? I believe the answer is (was) yes.
New twist, does it matter what the destination "media" is? Meaning, the call would be coming in on a T1, going out on a T1,

Deferring, instead of rejecting, messages when at quota
...at
caused Sendmail to defer (re-queue) the message rather than reject it.
How do I achieve this effect with Exim + deliver please?
Is it a case of:
* Setting something in Dovecot's configuration file (I can't spot
what!);
* Changing a return code in deliver's source (if so, whereabouts
and to what?);
* Or is there an Exim directive I need to add to the transport
definition in
its configuration file?
With thanks,
Mike B-)
