2.2.x autobuilds: Debian Stable now Wheezy, which pool for 2.2.x?
List, good evening, just installed a new Debian Stable (Wheezy). The Debian Stable repositories now include Dovecot 2.1.7 as standard. I haven't installed that because I wanted to try 2.2.x on this new clean install but unsure which 'pool' to use in the xi.rename-it.nl repository of autobuilds. http://xi.rename-it.nl/debian/pool/ Wheezy bec...

I currently have the dovecot-core package from wheezy-backports pinned on one of my servers to version '2.2.9', which has been working great. I now want to upgrade that to the newest version under wheezy-backports which is: dovecot-core (1:2.2.13-11~bpo70+1) but I can't figure out how to get do it. I've tried a few different formats o...

Asterisk 12 on Debian Wheezy
Hello, A couple of questions in relation with Asterisk 12 on Debian Wheezy. 1. Can paquet libpjproject-dev (from wheezy-backport) be installed as the sole binary to add PJSIP stack to Asterisk 12 (compiled from source) ? 2. When compiling PJPROJECT from source (see https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Building+and+Installing+pjproject?src=search)), where should PJ...

Serial Passthrough broken in Debian Wheezy?
Hello, I just discovered a strange bug with serial passthrough in xen 4.1 on Debian Wheezy. The Dom0 has a GSM modem connected to serial port. The serial port is passed through to a DomU with options 'irq = [ 4 ]' and 'ioports = [ '3f8-3ff ]'. This worked as expected on Debian Squeeze with Xen 4.0 and Linux kernel 2.6.32 (both for Dom0 and DomU). On Debian Wheezy wit...

Samba 4.4.3 debian wheezy backport intructions
Hi, Backported samba-4.4.3 from debian unstabel to debian wheezy today. May be of interest for others so i share the instructions and patches here. Ten packages from unstabel must be backported, I modified some to use python2.7 and removed dependencies to python2.6 and python3 (the later is not available in an recent enough version on wheezy/wheezy-backports)...

Clients unable to get group policy...
Rowland, you are correct. I remember now. When we started using XenServer, Wheezy would not work under it. This is a Squeeze installation, not Wheezy. Will Samba no longer work with Squeeze? If so it may be an excuse to upgrade the domain after all these years. On 06/05/2015 11:23 AM, Rowland Penny wrote: > On 05/06/15 16:07, Ryan Ashley wrote: >> I noticed something d...

[HowTo] Installing Samba and sssd on Debian Wheezy (with manual backport)
Hi everyone, A couple of weeks ago I wanted to install Samba and sssd on a Debian Wheezy server. The Samba version from the wheezy-backports repo looks and feels fairly well packaged by now and is updated to the upstream version, so in my opinion that's the way to go. As regards sssd, I wanted a version supporting the AD backend (the one in the Wheezy repos doesn't), so I backp...
