RODBC and NULL values
...exported into PostgreSQL for analysis as Filemaker's ODBC
and JDBC access is awful, slow and has a tendency to crash.
I have disability data where for each patient there is a survival time
in years from disease onset to a particular disease stage, namely
unilateral support, bilateral support, wheelchair use, and death. Valid
values may include NULL (patient hasn't reached that stage), 0 (for
example, patient needed support immediately at disease onset), and any
positive integer.
When I query the database manually using psql, it is clear there are
NULL values.

the same name? For example sometimes an event falls under more than one category, like
'theatre' and 'performing arts'. That's a basic example, but there are others where
there are many options like if the page type is 'venue', which services that venue
offers like wheelchair accessibility, closed caption, braille, and more.. Our site
visitors will be searching on these attributes to find for example, events happening on
a certain date at venues that offer certain services.

door phone
Hi,
Anyone know anything about Asterisk's support for door phones? Receiving
the call from the door intercom system, opening the door, etc?
Any hardware recommendations? I understand that the equipment we have
now is Panasonic proprietary and came with the currently deployed
Panasonic TD12-32 pbx.
We intend to deploy Asterisk in a 72 extensions + 16 trunks in a while,
so any info will be

Multi Byte Strings
Hey guys,
We''ve been talking about the multi-byte patch and I think it''s time to
get feedback from you guys on a possible way forward.
We can include ActiveSupport::Multibyte with rails 1.2, and update all
of the relevant helpers to use the String#chars proxy. This will mean
that none of the action view helpers will mangle multibyte strings.
Similarly, if any Strings are being
