plots in the main window, they appear correctly - their orientation is
landscape (i.e., horizontal). However, when I open the .ps file with GSview,
the whole page appears vertically, and the plot appears horizontally, which
means that the plot is only partially visible (example here
https://webfiles.uci.edu/mpetresc/postscript.files/default.ps ). I searched
the R-help mailing list archive and found 2 suggestions: setting the width
and height and setting horizontal = FALSE. I have tried setting the width
and height but it makes no difference. I have also tried using "horizontal =

Sample code for doing a “chunked” webfile HTTP download, and then stream to HTTP upload to another web app?
Hi,
QUESTION: Does anyone have sample code that shows how to do an (a)
chunked HTTP file download, and then (b) stream this into the HTTP
uploading of this to another web application with a file upload
controller?
BACKGROUND
* I''ve been trying to "stream" an existing webpage to a separate web
application, using normal http request response approach.
* The issue I''m

Copying a 900 mb file to Windows !!!
Hi,
I am writing a puppet manifest to install a service pack on windows, what I
observe is that in case the exe file is withing 50 - 70 Mb the transfer to
windows happens without any issues. But the current service pack
"windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe" is around 900 Mb. My manifest is as follows
file { ''c:/temp/windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe'':

Connection Timeout
This is my first post so first of all I will say hello to everyone.
I have rsync configured and working properly on my local network however
when I try to connect from a remote host (one located in a different state)
the connection times out. I was wondering if there was another way to set
the timeout besides in the rsyncd.conf file?
As I said the connection works fine on the internal lan, but

Running multiple mongrel to "serve" the same rail application with active scaffold
...e same rails files.
This application use "active scaffold" when I start one mongrel some
files are writes in the public/plugin_assets/ folder.
If I start more then one mongrel it is possible these files become
scrambles ?, there is also some files in tmp/{cache,pids,sessions
,sockets, webfile}
who can i make sure the 2 mongrels will not interfere each other ?, Do i
really need to use a separated copy of the same rail application for
each mongrel ?

Post-Win2k3 Upgrade rsync+ssh Permissions Problem
...a mostly Solaris infrastructure with a group of
Windows 2000 server boxes. I installed Cygwin rsync/ssh on them and have
been using it to keep Web images up to date by pushing them from a central
server thus:
/usr/local/bin/rsync -e ssh -vrtz --delete
--rsync-path=c:/cygwin/bin/rsync.exe /webnfs/webfiles/images/
winserver:d:/webfiles/images
This sync runs as the UNIX user "weblord", uid 3260.
This has been working fine. However, now we upgraded the OS to Windows
2003 Server. I installed the newest rsync (2.6.6) on the new system.
After the upgrade, new files getting synced over were...

migrating from Courier
...I've even hacked together a postfix service to run procmail for the virtual users, though my intention of creating a webface allowing them to muck up their own .procmailrcs never came to fruition.
I'm doing my user migration in two steps. First, I will rsync all the mail (and all the user webfiles) to the new server, do any setup/conversion/&c to the data on the new server and make sure everything is working and that passwords are preserved.
Then, right before the server goes live I will shutdown mail on the old machine, rsync any new mail (hopefully no more than a couple of hours wort...

Windows Call Manager : Formerly [Asterisk-Dev] New Bounty
...already nearly done.
I can send you binaries of a single user call manager, and the operator
manager is in the pipe.
Actually, I'll just post these for download.
You have to install the Outlook dialer and the Astring manager separately.
Also, you can point the directory to a local file or a webfile by typing
http://url in the text box.
I'll also include a sample xml file for the directory. This uses the Cisco
directory format so it will integrate with their phones more easily.
Martin Croome is building this.

strange printing problem
Hi folks,
First of all I have a well-working samba-2.2.2-20011013 on a Redhat 7.1
with 2.4.7.
(Fast like a thunder 8-). Good job guys!) But. I have a little problem
with printing:
At my work we have only NT 4.0 workstations on our LAN with sp6a or sp5.
This problem is appearing when a client try to print onto a printer
attached to samba.
Sometimes. But sometimes not.

Direct I/O ability with zfs?
We are using MySQL, and love the idea of using zfs for this. We are used to using Direct I/O to bypass file system caching (let the DB do this). Does this exist for zfs?
