ANN: 'weaver' package, caching for Sweave
Hi all,
I've added a new package 'weaver' to the BioC repository:

The weaver package provides extensions to the Sweave utilities
included in R's base package. The focus of the extensions is on

1.0.2 release candidates
...two, barring unforeseen difficulties.
Thanks,
Evan, and the Mongrel Team
PS. If you really don''t care about authenticity, and don''t want to
install the public certificate, you can omit the ''-P HighSecurity''
option in ''gem install''.

TST is right out
...ooks like the
savings were in the static typing more than the TST.
Do you know anyone who''s running a shitload of Mongrel routes in a
single server? Is there any reason not to keep this change? I know
that TST dude put some patch in his library just for Mongrel, but
still.

1.1.2
...here is a bug with Mongrel on JRuby 1.0.3 that the JRuby guys want
fixed before they release it.
If it''s ok with people I''d like to fix that, revert (at least for now)
the proxy response change, and tag that as 1.1.2 and release it.
Anything wrong with this plan?

Mongrel wiki?
...AQs, what wiki should it be?
Required features would be:
* Spam protection
* Doesn''t look shitty
I would probably spring for Trac (and also migrate the bugtracker) if
noone else has opinions, but I''m sure some of you do.
What do you think?

an unusual use for R
I thought some of you might be amused by this.
In my non-work time, I'm an avid weaver and teacher of weaving. I'm
working on a project involving creating many detailed weaving
patterns, so I wrote R code to automate it.
Details here:

Loading Cached Weaver Objects
Hello,
I'm looking for a way to extract objects from what gets created when I Sweave with driver = weaver(). I found where the .Rdata objects are, but when I load one into R, I don't see anything that looks like the objects that were created in that code chunk.

1.9
Hey so,
People are asking about Mongrel Ruby 1.9 compatibility. Isn''t the
point of 1.9 for library developers to have time to get ready for 2.0?
It''s not like 1.9 is a production release.

AGI and embargeability
...ve heard VOIP hackers call this "inbargeability;" it's the ability
to "barge in" to a playing audio clip.
I'm planning to use Lumenvox for the DTMF and voice recognition, BTW.
Not sure if that matters.
Many thanks to anyone who can lend me a clue about this,

Updating Dovecot package?
Does anyone know if upstream ever plans on updating the dovecot package to a non RC version or to even one of the RC versions that isn't so insecure,
And by insecure, I of course refer to the recent rash of bugs which have been found.
Thanks,

Arbitrary system files readable in 1.0.4 - 1.1.2
I just found a vulnerability in one of my web apps that was running
Mongrel 1.1.2 where I could go to URIs like
/.%252e/.%252e/.%252e/.%252e/.%252e/.%252e/.%252e/etc/passwd and it
would serve the actual /etc/passwd file.
The issue seems to be in lib/mongrel/handlers.rb in the change from
1.0.3 to 1.0.4
