I'm having a problem with WMP and icecast 2.2.0. When people try to connect it buffers the feed really slow and people never go get audio. I've tried connecting over the LAN and it does the same thing. Is there any software that can be run in windows to monitor icecast mounts, ie, user count etc.. Is it possible in a future version to be able to enable/disable mounts from inside the web interface the same way steamcast does now. I love icecast but i've been looking at steamcast and I like some parts of there web interface ie. bandwidth usage stats for each mount and in total for the server, and being able to enable/disable mounts. But I don't like the delay, it has that painful

For some reason using the 2.3.0 Version I can no longer stream Nullsoft Video. I have the correct tags in the config file but for some reason the server will not accept the connection from the encoder. I just noticed something. I'm using simplecast as my encoder. If I put the first Mp3 option which is listed Mp3/Mp3Pro when I play the stream in Media Player it just buffers and buffers and doesn't play. If I select the option Mp3 (ACM) Media Player works. For the future if possible i'd like to see a couple of things in icecast. 1) being able to create/edit/delete static mount points from the web interface without neededing to edit the config file and restarting the server from a shell account. Looks like I missed a config file entry for the shoutcast-compat.xml, you'll need to add : <shoutcast-mount>/stream.nsv</shoutcast-mount> to your config. It needs to exist at the main root level... for context here is where I have it : <directory> <yp-url-timeout>15</yp-url-timeout>
