How to upgrade WBEL4 to CentOS4?
Hi, I've got a couple of servers that are running WBEL4 that I would like to upgrade to CentOS4. I noticed that there is a FAQ which explains how to upgrade WBEL3 to CentOS3, but haven't found anything similar for WBEL4. Are the instructions for the WBEL3 upgrade the same for WBEL4? Should I be doing something else instead? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Eric

Boot hangs at Initializing hardware...
...ted kernel. May be related to audio as that is the next thing to be initialized after network. Looks like BZ 172920 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=172920 Both Knoppix 4.0.2 and Ubuntu Breezy 5.10 live-CD distros seem to work OK on the same hardware, as have RH 7.3-FC1/2/3, WBEL3, and CentOS 4/4.1. The problematic system is an IBM A21p notebook with (according to Knoppix lspci) Cirrus Logic CS 4614/22/24 using module cs46xx. Doesn't really need sound as it is currently acting as a print-server for a color Laser, but haven't figured out how to get it to boot under...

openssl update
Hi all, Just a quick Q on the new openssl update. I recently converted from wbel3 to centos3, so my installed version of openssl _seems_ newer than the new version. Below are some details that may help... So the question is... should I force the install of the newly released version? # find /var -type f -name openssl096b* -print /var/cache/yum/base/headers/openssl096b-0-0.9....

less strange behavior
...-" on the VC there is no problem, working in a konsole as a user or root, or doing ssh to another machine as root, no problems - less works as expected, except with a root login on a VC. Can't find anything in Bugzilla and don't recall encountering this on RH-any-version, FC1/2/3, or WBEL3. A) Can anyone else confirm this? Could be something strange about my root .??* files that have been propagated across machines, but I can't find any problem. B) Does this happen on RHEL4? C) If so, could somebody with a RHEL entitlement bugzilla it? If not, this could be a CentOS4-spec...

php 5.2
Hi, I was asking about php 5.2 because I would like to use this program with these requirements: http://www.magentocommerce.com/system-requirements This ecommerce store is built with the zend framework and requires php 5.2. Mcrypt is not in the centos mirrors either. I did manage to get this beta ecommerce store installed on php 5.1.6-12 by removing the mycript line in the install xml file and
