OT: compiling oddcast DSP
Hi, There's a rather serious problem with the Oddcast DSP for Winamp, when you stream in vorbis format over icecast2, it drops ~ 1/2 sec of near the beginning of every song except the first. I tracked this down, it turns out oddcast drops the last vorbis page of every stream. (The DSP doesn't receive the new metadata until after the song has been playing for a second or two, which is

OT: compiling oddcast DSP
...e updated the oddcastv2 code now and updated the wa2 plugin with this new code, so please try http://www.oddsock.org/tools/oddcastv2_wa2/oddcast_dsp_wa2_v2.0.5.exe and see if this fixes your issue... note that this is the wa2 version of oddcastv2 2. what version are you trying to compile ? wa2 ? wa3 ? The wa3 plugin code has not been maintained mainly due to the crappiness of wa3 and their incompatability between SDK releases, and the fact that Nullsoft is discontinuing it...the fact that you are getting assertion errors makes me think that you are trying to use the wa3 sdk (wa2 sdk didn...

web service authentication
after almost a week of trial and error, i''ve finally got a hold of creating a web service in rails. after all this time though, i''m still not quite sure if i can make it work the way i want it to. i was basically trying to create a login portal so that the users at our company can have one place to login for all of our internal applications. well, right now - i can have each

WinAMP POS: mime types

Wont Stream
Hello, I have just setup an Icecast server on a FreeBSD box. Everything was setup fine, and the server runs fine. It will accept shoutcast connections and stream them fine - so there is no problem with that. The problem is streaming Icecast. I am using the OGGDSP plugin for Winamp 3 and when I connect it - it will look as though everything is connected but there is no lights flashing on my

No audio with slackware for live station
He means that development of WinAmp 3 has discontinued. WA2 is being updated to support WA3's extra features (video, media library), and WinAmp 5 (2+3=5) is the main new development. You can read the announcement on the WinAmp forums. >===== Original Message From Stefan Neufeind <stefan@neufeind.net> ===== >On Fri, 16 May 2003 at 13:15:22, Geoff Shang wrote: > >&g...

ices 0.3 released
...he dodo. I'm just not sure how to tell folks in >the interim "Downgrade to WinAMP 2.91." How about because WinAmp 2.91 *isn't* a downgrade? The only thing that WinAmp 3 has over 2.91 is the skinning interface. WA2 has some features that were never bothered to be ported to WA3, and what extra features were in WA3 were added in with WA 2.90 >Thanks, Jack. Keep up the great work. Winamp 3 plugin and flac 1.0.3
When I copy the winamp 3 plugin into the appropriate winamp folder, and start winamp, Winamp complains that it cannot find MSVCRTD.DLL Was the plugin mistakenly compiled as Debug and shipped that way? Any way for me to get the winamp3 plugin that isn't debug? I do not have MSVC++ to recompile it. -Justin

[Flac-users] Winamp3 plugin built in debug mode?
I just tried installing the flac plugin for Winamp 3, and Winamp reports that, "This application has failed to start because MSVCRTD.dll was not found." The fact that it's trying to link against MSVCRTD.dll rather than MSVCRT.dll suggests that the plugin was built in debug mode; most Windows installations won't have MSVCRTD.dll unless Visual Studio is installed. ,steven.

[Flac-users] winamp plugins troubles
Give a hint please how to compile winamp plugins. After ./configure && make I see no .dll and no .wac files in the source tree at all :( What am I doing wrong? All the lib modules are compiled just as xmms plugin but the winamp ones.. Documentation says nothing about that. -- Best regards, RuslanO mailto:ruslano@imp.lg.ua

If I remember correctly, there's no Oddcast2, and it's also a Winamp 2.xx plugin - no idea if it works with WA3. > but where do you put the <icylogin> </icylogin>. > I guess i have to turn it to 0 cause i use icecast2 . The correct option is <icelogin>, and its usage is not recommended and undocumented. The current version of Oddcast DSP lets you choose between Shoutcast/Icecast/Ic...

icecast2, ogg, mp3, etc
Hi, Just wanted to clarify, can icecast2 not read OR broadcast any mp3, or can it just not broadcast mp3 (but still play from a playlist)? I know the quality would be dropped if it had to reencode them though. And what's up with that POS Winamp3, it doesn't even play gg streams?!? I use xmms, but we have winamp3 on a demo computer, it just sits and keeps prebuffering. I need something
