Hello, While upgrading * from 1.0.9 to 1.2.5, I have installed chan-capi-head and I can't start asterisk under asterisk group "asterisk -vvvvgc -U asterisk " and "asterisk -vvvvgc -U asterisk -G dialout" work well but "asterisk -vvvvgc -U asterisk -G asterisk" fail. I am thinking about a group permission configuration but I have exactly the same one than with my old 1.0.9 working config. Log messages whe...

Unabled to exit console
...Sent: Saturday, April 03, 2004 9:56 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Unabled to exit console No matter what I try, Asterisk won't let me out of the console. If I CTRL+C, of course, the process will terminate. I started asterisk like so: /usr/sbin/asterisk -vvvvgc and here's what I get when I 'exit': *CLI> exit The QUIT and EXIT commands may no longer be used to shutdown the PBX. Please use STOP NOW instead, if you wish to shutdown the PBX. *CLI> *CLI> CTRL+D doesn't work either. What's going on? I am getting a bunch of...

Can't dial SIP<->EuroISDN (HFC-S based PCI ISDN card): Unable to create channel of type 'Zap'
Hi, I'm trying to set up an Asterisk pbx based on a Fedora Core 1 Linux box (customized kernel version 2.4.24). I want calls from my SIP soft-phones to simply be dumped onto the PSTN line via a BRI (EuroISDN). I have a cheap HFC-S based PCI ISDN card connected to the NT1+ interface, so I need zaphfc. I've read everything I've found at www.voip-info.org, then I've downloaded the
