NHW v0.3.0-rc29 new version
...fine-tune the nhw_kernel weights. This new version has then more precision and a better visual quality. I have made a "deeper" visual review at -q14 compression setting which is "high" compression, and I find now that at this setting NHW has a competitive precision with AVIF and VVC.If I wanted to push a little far, I would say that (at -q14) NHW, AVIF and VVC have a good precision, just with AVIF and VVC, you'll have more detail retention, and with NHW, you'll have more neatness. NHW Project - some update
Hello, I don't have advanced on the NHW Project this past month, but I have definitely validated its characteristics and this new version. The NHW Codec preserves or enhances image neatness and sharpness, which translates that on good quality images the NHW Codec is globally better than HEVC, and on degraded (with blur, artifacts) images it is worse than HEVC because it lacks of precision. NHW Project - How to find a sponsor?
...r the NHW Project? Does Xiph would have advice for the NHW Project? Monty, what would be your advice to find a sponsor? For example one of my very first task if I find a sponsor will be to adapt the NHW Project to any size of image. Or for now the industry is focusing on AOMedia AV1 and MPEG HEVC,VVC and there is no place, ressource for another codec? Again if you would have advice to find a sponsor now that the NHW Project is good, do not hesitate to contact me. Many thanks! NHW Project - new -l19 "extreme" compression quality setting
...al model I use for extreme compression, because on 5% of the images, certain kinds of images, it is better to switch it off... Again, it would be great if you could consider the NHW Project as furthermore it is royalty-free and ultra-fast, I know it is impossible to compete with VP9,HEVC, AOM AV1, VVC, but maybe there would a niche these codecs don't cover and where the NHW Project could shine, because I feel it still lacks of consideration by the industry (but of course this is only my opinion)... Many thanks! Cheers, Raphael -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was s...

NHW Project
...e same compression ratio, actually I find the current version visually better because it has a better neatness despite washing out details. So I would like to put forward that the main concept of NHW is neatness (and also ultra-fast encoding/decoding), it's a total different approach from AV1, VVC,... that relies on precision, but I start to find (and this is my personal opinion based on my visual appreciation) that the current version of NHW could prove the viability of neatness and of the NHW technology. We can still improve it, but on the other side I am more and more pessimistic that the...

Problem -ATA-711-723-Oh323-Asterisk
Hi List, I am facing the reverse problem as stated here.I am using ATA 186 to make and recieve call to * through OH323 driver. When I use G711 codec in the ATA to make call then then as soon as i dial an extension the * crashes with 'segmentation fault'. But the same scenerio works fine when i use 723 codec in the ATA .I can dial the number and extension very well/(I have 723 support in
