Yea - I'm lost. I keep trying the same thing hoping for different
results. I think that is the definition of insanity.
I've tried:
create new OU called VPNusers and a user within that call bind-user-1
Also created a user under Users called bind-user-2
then I set the following:
extended query => memberof=OU=vpnusers,DC=internal,DC=external,DC=com
authentication container => OU=vpnusers,DC=internal,DC=external,DC=com
bind user =>
CN=vpn-bind-use...

CentOS Digest, Vol 57, Issue 14
Thanks for the responses. I think this is what I want to do. I commented out
#Defaults requiretty
in /etc/sudo. But what I really wanted to do was just place it in VPNUSERS:
%vpnusers ALL=NOPASSWD: /sbin/service myciscovpn start, \
/sbin/service myciscovpn stop, \
/sbin/service myciscovpn status, \
/usr/bin/mycisco, /usr/local/bin/vpnclient
visudo took it but it did not work. Actually if I could just put...

PFsense via Samba Authentication Server -> ERROR! ldap_get_groups() could not bind
I've been trying to setup OPENVPN on a Netgate appliance
running pfsense.
Initially, the authentication server I created appears
to function. A connection is made, the "bind" is completed
and the organizational units are fetched from the server
and returned.
A few minutes later - without making any changes -
the same test returns the following errors:

[Bug 1981] New: Trying to use ssh with a missing identity file gives no warnings
...Priority: P2
Component: ssh
AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at mindrot.org
ReportedBy: mindrot.org at ch.pkts.ca
I attempted to set up a ~/.ssh/config entry that said
Host firewall-link
Hostname firewall.example.com
IdentityFile /Home/username/.ssh/id_rsa_vpn
User vpnuser
However, there was a typo in the IdentityFile line, so it specified the
wrong pathname (ie: no such file). Do you want to know how long it
took to track down this error? Too long!
You can only see the error message if you type 'ssh -d -d -d
firewall-link' (the maximum possible debug lev...

samba + pptp
Hi guys,
I have samba domain controller running at a client. It's a fairly
simple and straightforward setup, uses smbpasswd for auth, nothing
fancy.
The client wants to be able to vpn in and access their files. I setup
pptp, and use the built in WindowsXP client.
After establishing the vpn connection, I can access the domain
controller. I get asked for my username and pass - type in
