Trying to install CentOS 4.4 as a domU
Hi all,
Few days ago I installed a CentOS 5 domU on a xen-box with CentOS 5 dom0
also. All worked fine; I used virt-install assistant and I created a

I've tried to do the same with CentOS 4.4 domU, but always I get an

It's curious... so I downloaded the x86_64 complete DVDs for 5 and

Ubunty Feisty (!) Install on CentOS 5 Xen
What is it with the names (and the baby-poo backgrounds) these Ubuntu
people use?
Anyhow .. has anybody managed to install Feisty as a Xen guest on a
CentOS 5 box? And .. if so .. how?

Backing Up A Xen Guest
...MAKEDEV -d /mnt -x $i; done
* cd /tmp; umount /srv/vm1; losetup -d /dev/loop0
* xm create -c Guest1
And it always gets most of the way through .. then the guest dies.

Bug#595490:
I have the same issue.
Apparently there are patches for this error, which only affects intel:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/xen/devel/185593
For logging the output is the same as in the above thread:

samba oplocks not breaking
Hello,
I am having (weird) issues with XFS, in that open(...) on certain files
takes 45 seconds to return. After the file has been opened, the next
file in the same directory takes 45 seconds. If the file was recently
opened it returns immediately.
I have raised this on several mailing lists, see:

windows 7 on samba 3.4.2 slow
Hello,
I followed the instructions here:
http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Windows7
Everything seems fine, however if I log into a domain account, Windows
is now painfully slow. This is kind of curious, as task manager reports
no CPU load and no network load.
If I log out and back in again with a local/non-domain account, then
everything runs at full speed again.
Furthermore, if I disconnect

domain printer issues
Hello,
As of today we seem to be having printer issues. As in computers that
were working fine suddenly decided to stop working.
One one computer. No printers won't work at all. For some printers, if
I remove and reinstall, it complains that there are no printer drivers
on the server (incorrect). When past this stage, none of the printers
work. When I click the print test page button I get
