[Samba 2.2.6] share permissions override Unix rigths?
Hi All!
I have Samba 2.2.6 installed on Solaris 8 SPARC. Samba is authenticating
users against LDAP (Netscape Directory Server 4.12)
One of my directories has rights as following (using synonyms):
d rwx r-x --- owner : growner VOL5
I have another user USER1 whose primary group membership is GROUP1,
supplementary groupmembership GROWNER.
My Samba config follows:
[VOL5]
path = /export/home/VOL5
valid users = +GROWNER
admin users = USER1
read only = No
The user USER1 ___CAN___ write to VOL5 s...

I then create a new volume vol5 then shutdown the zone and then reboot
the box with an init 6
Upon the reboot of the box the Minor numbers of the zvols are different
between the local zone and the Global zone.

problem with anova() and syntax in lmer
...iles/lmesas.pdf
Which syntax is the right one and describe de nested structure correctly?
And what could be the meaning of the wrong model?
Is there somewhere general information about lmer synthax that we could have
missed (not just simple examples)?
(I just have an article D. Bates from Rnews vol5/1 and a book of Mr Galwey
in addition to the lme4 package help).
I have also tried lme (without the covariate) :
But the denominator DF seem very strange to me considering the containment
method that is used, so I wonder also if the syntax that I use is correct :

Problem mounting autofs directories
I'm having a problem getting Samba 3.x to handle my automount
directories.
Our data is on a HP server with 5 Raided disks. The disks are named
/vol1 through /vol5. Each disk has a directory named projects.data which
contains various project directories. I use NIS to indirectly automount
these directories under /projects on each client workstation. If a user
cd's to /projects, he only sees the directories that are currently
mounted. To get to a specific p...

defining columns in a matrix
Hi all,
I have the following 7 x 7 matrix. ?I am trying to figure out how to
label the columns to something more descriptive other than [,1], [,2],
etc.
I have tried the c(x,y,z,) function, but I get a error returned
stating that my vectors need to be the same length. Do I need to
convert this to something else such as a list and then repack it?
Thanks,
Kindra

lme syntax for P&B examples
Hi helpeRs,
I've been working through some examples in Pinhiero & Bates( 2000)
trying to understand how to translate to the new Lme4 syntax but without
much luck.
Below is what I think I should do, but either the answers don't come out
the same or I get errors.
In the Oxide problems I'm particularly interested in obtaining the
levels coeficients but this options no longer seems
