Voiceblue and slow dialling
Hi,
I have recently started a job as a system administrator, and as part of my responsibilities I have to look after an asterisk system. Quite impressed with it, but have one or two niggling issues. One of the last things my predecessor here did, was install a VoiceBlue mobile gateway unit, and though it seems to work ok, nearl 20 seconds pass from dialling a number to the call connecting, which is entirely too long. The supplier of the voiceblue, reckons it shouldn’t take any longer than 5 seconds.
Watching the calls go through, it seems that the longest bit of...

VoiceBlue GSM
Hello All * users.
I have been looking for a way to allow GSM termination through Asterisk
to occur. I am not a Telekom fundi and I have set up IAX2/IAX/SIP on
asterisk with the ZAP channels via the Digium TDM 400P. I am unable to
find any place that can tell me the cost of the VoiceBlue with a
currency to I can calculate the cost of buying one. Alternativly - or
just out of interist - I only really need to handle one GSM call @ a
time and have a SMS capability... is there anyone that can suggest the
best way to do so without doing a hack/patch to make a device to
interact wi...

Using Zyxel Analog Telephone adapter with a GSM gateway
Searching through wiki and google.
http://www.2n.cz/products/gsm_gateways/voip/voiceblue.html
but there are also other products on the market.
---
Wondering if its possible to connect as follows:
Extension -> Asterisk -> ZyxelAnalogTelephoneAdapter -> GSM gateway.
The best way would be to make the ZyxelAnalog.. to be a channel.
But I don't think that is doable.. or ?

OT: HOWTO: Query channel state on an Ateus Voice Blue GSM gateway
Because the VoiceBlue is only 4 channels and I am supporting 100 cell users,
I needed a way to overflow calls to the PRI of all 4 channels are full.
Unfortunately, there seems to be no built-in mechanism to determine if the
gateway is full, so this script parses the output of "asterisk -rx sip show
channels XXX.XX...

seeking GSM 850/1900 gateway
Hi,
I'm looking for a reliable, reasonably-priced, single-channel
interface between * and US GSM.
The VOIP GSM Gateways listed at
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-VOIP+GSM+Gateways
(VoiceBlue, QUTEX) are multichannel systems, very expensive
($2500 or more).
Next step down, there are various Fixed Cellular Terminal
(FCT) or Fixed Wireless Terminal (FWT) devices. These
typically have an FXS interface.

Asterisk as a GSM-Gateway? Possible or not??
Hi,
although I have spent a lot of time on searching the wiki and Google, I didn't
find an answer to the question whether it is possible to use Asterisk as a
GSM-Gateway.
The wiki mentions the Ateus VoiceBlue Box, but I don't want another box but
integrate the GSM gateway directly into the Asterisk Box.
I found another posting that this feature is under development, does anyone
know anything about it's status?
And, final question, can anyone recommend a PC card for a GSM gateway?
Thanks fo...

How to hookup to cell phone for outbound calls?
Hi
I need a small PBX for use on the move. This means that outbound calls
will need to be made over the cell phone network.
Assuming a small hardware PBX with a spare mini-PCI slot or a USB slot
then what hardware options do I have to get an outbound cellular
channel? Options need to be rock solid, so no bluetooth to a cell phone
kind of solutions need apply.
Can any of the 3G usb

GSM Gateway
Hello,
I am looking for a gsm gateway that is SIP based i.e no need of FXO/FXS
analogue connection.
I searched the email archives and found messages from 2008 but not sure
how accurate these are.
What do you use and how well it works ? The only sensible one I found
is one made by portech and one that is made by Eurodesign.
The one from portech is like a trunk while the one from eurodesign
